I read that comment. Again, there's no way to verify that any of that is true. The university needs to make a statement. And I agree that this being a ploy to get rid of a conservative gun owner is likely inaccurate and outlandish. Generally, the university is allowed to make their own rules in regard to how students can carry on campus per the campus carry law, HOWEVER one big caveat is it MUST be concealed carry, not open carry. Meaning, he broke the law if he displayed his firearm as the comment points out. But again, this is all unconfirmed info and the university needs to make a statement. Generally though, I am not a fan of people interpreting off the cuff remarks ("hold up the school"). While I understand the serious nature of such a statement, most people who would say this, whether they carry a gun or not, are joking. I don't know the context of when or how he supposedly said this, but again, it was probably meant to be a joke. Although I would definitely make the argument that if you carry a gun and people know you carry a gun you probably shouldn't joke about stuff like that. I feel like the university could undercut any potential backlash by making a statement sooner rather than later.

I saw this story and came here to see if there was more clarification. There is not. The only narrative I can find is the one being put out by OCT (open carry texas). I don't have an issue with OCT, however I would like more than Mr. Masin's side of the story. I know that the other side are being told not to share details , however, it seems these details are not being clearly communicated to Mr. Masin as well, or at least that's how he's presenting it. My point, he seems (either genuinely or acting like) he doesn't know why this is happening, and we have no counter story. Until we get clarification from another authority or source, I'm not going to trust the comment section on ammoland about this being justified. The university needs to come out with concrete evidence/charges/something to back up their case. I would be very interested to see the actual message or messages they found to be "threats" or "threatening" or whatever. Linked is a video interview with Mr. Masin with some dude from Firearm's Policy Coalition. The interviewer asks a lot of leading questions and it is obviously pro gun bias. I was looking for another source or information from the other side of this story and I couldn't find one. In my opinion, the university has not handled this well in terms of info disclosure. EDIT DERP FORGOT YOUTUBE LINK, it's a long interview and again is only one side of the story.

Why? After this season I doubt any P5 team will look at him, even a bad one like Arkansas.

Found this golden nugget of a comment: https://ninerswire.usatoday.com/2018/12/09/quick-observations-from-49ers-20-14-win-over-broncos/ -
He's a RS freshman? Didn't he play football on that last chance u? Nope that was the other qb on their team John Franklin III, who is now a safety for the bears. I was confused as well.

He also had a fumble. Other than that it was a really solid outing for him. He's making the most of his opportunity. -

Tomorrow at 3. He should be starting. I think Breida is out. I am pumped for him.

Well, I started this thread and I'll be damned if I don't take responsibility for it. I cannot find any information that clarifies the situation. Early reports said he was gone, slightly more recent reports said he isn't. So....he's probably staying? That's my current 4:06ireallyneedtogotobedam assessment.

I love skiing in Santa Fe. You can ski during the day and then you have Santa Fe to do stuff in the evening. You're not just stuck in a dark cold cabin on the top of a mountain somewhere.

GMG recruiting podcast. Need questions

Seconded on this. -
It's a new day ladies and gentlemen.

$4.1M is oddly specific. Would that include the $2.1M buyout, meaning an actual salary of $2M? That's what I theorized earlier in this thread.

You know they can delete comments they don't like, right? It's a rag. Even acknowledging this **** is more than they deserve. They're doing a great job if they want to be journalists though. Stir up a pot about **** they don't understand and then laugh their asses off while they get all the clicks. MSNBC or Fox should hire 'em.

One thing that I was thinking about, and I'm sorry if this was mentioned, but Seth's buyout is $2.1 mil this year. I wonder if KSU doesn't want to pony up for him specifically. He's only been a head coach three years. That's not a lot of experience as a head coach, and he's never been one at a large program. So if Seth wants $3mil+, that would be a $5mil+ expense for KSU for a coach with three years of head coaching experience. Salaries are going up but that is a lot to invest. They might have him penciled down at a firm $4 million, including the buyout, leaving Seth with around $2 million in salary, and he might find that unacceptable. I know KSU can pony up more money, but the question is, do they want to? Just thinking out loud mostly.

I think if he was leaving he wouldn't be posing with recruits and pumping people up for the official visits this weekend.

With the way Seth is tweeting left and right with recruits, I'm really starting to doubt they're going to take Seth. Like you said, they've been saying this for the past week.

How dare you trivialize our suffering at this time! Don't you know!? Seth fell into a deep *gasp* COMA!!! 😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥
