Early Top 25 CFB article mentions UNT

You could make the argument that our defense will have the same issue. -
DRC: Nate Brown will not return next season, per source
peanuts104 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Well, Reffett had a dline that could do what he wanted for the most part. With the graduations we have this year and the talent leaving, I am worried our defense could take huge steps back, especially since we're losing guys in all stages of defense with the front, the back, and the middle. -

Any publicity is good publicity...right? -
We were NOT selected in this writers top 25, however there was a section at the bottom for top 5 underdog teams. We were on that list and so was UAB. Houston was as well, which is relevant because we play them next season. Edit: Forgot the link: https://championinsiders.com/college-football/early-top-25-college-football-rankings-2019/

So what do you hear from that nice Mason Fine ?

It was a hammy. Not much you can do for that except rest it. Hopefully it won't come back next season. -
Edit: Just read that they are going to pay him $20 MILLION BLEEPING DOLLARS http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/25659219/houston-cougars-finalizing-deal-dana-holgorsen-west-virginia-mountaineers There has to be some bad stuff behind the scenes for Holgorsen and WVU to be willing to part ways. He's been pretty successful there. Surely Houston can't pay him more.
-
There is no way in hell Holgorsen would leave WVU for Houston. Why would he take the downgrade?

Some motivation from Kason Martin

Uncontrollable had some pretty decent camera work actually... And at least he's having fun making videos and not out there with prostitutes and meth. -
Yeah, he wasn't even running with the ball. It happened on in INT play. I couldn't see what happened.

Wilson just got carted off the field with an apparent shoulder injury. 😞

LinkedIn Post - Asst. Football Coach Position
peanuts104 replied to Hall Eagle 2011's topic in Mean Green Football
I find it slightly concerning that we don't have a few names on a short list to replace Coach Choice. Edit: I was not aware of the job posting being required by law. -
No fumbles so far, which is good. He hasn't had much running room today.

Maybe Wyche trying to transfer to GATech? -
Found this quote in an article today. I have said it before and will continue to say it, he continues to represent himself and this university well. They have nothing but praise for him with the glaring exception of the fumbles: "“We’ll see,” Shanahan said. “I do hope, and I do have confidence that he can (stop fumbling) because we see him every day. We like the person. He works at it. The game doesn’t seem too big for him. He’s very well-liked around here, not just because he’s a friendly guy, but because people respect how he works and what he does. Jeff’s not going to make excuses. He knows exactly what he did (against the Seahawks) and how big that (fumble) could have cost us. He’s going to get another opportunity. I hope he lives up to it.” https://www.pressdemocrat.com/sports/9089981-181/49ers-running-back-jeff-wilson?sba=AAS

The smallest OL guy we got today was 275LBS. The other three, if they are actually the weight they claim, are all at playing weight. I'm hoping we see some immediate benefit from this. -

DRC: Johnson talks about decision to decommit from UNT
peanuts104 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I don't know if the injury was ever officially disclosed, but in the past he has torn both the ACL in his right knee and his left knee (in High School and then again at SFA). I think its safe to assume that even if this wasn't an ACL tear, he is at least questionable to return next season with the amount of damage his legs have sustained. -
Seems like they're going to continue to give him his chance. If he can not fumble the ball in the these last two games, things should look up for him next season.

Hard to say with Easley. I think this was his third ACL tear? He might end up retiring.
