  1. I'm kinda upset by the white unis at home.
  2. Oof, Griffen didn't even turn for that ball.
  3. Short yardage still looks like ****.
  4. Robison is getting going. He's made some good passes. Receivers seem to be part of the problem. They're in the red zone.
  5. IT GOT WORSE
  6. Saw some comments mentioning that UCLA losing to Cincinnati was promising....Cal is UC Berkley, not UC Los Angeles. Not trying to call anyone out or insult anyone, but just want to make a clarification for people on the board. If you want to scout Cal, they play UC Davis tomorrow. Don't take UCLA's loss as promise for our chances against Cal because they are two different teams. Again, not trying to be disrespectful, just trying to inform. California is a crazy place.

  7. Whether there's actual outrage culture is debatable and is a much broader argument. My issue is with the article for the most part. All it does is serve at a hit piece for something that already went through the news cycle months ago.
  8. There's not much left to talk about on those fronts. I've said what I think. People disagree and there isn't much room for common ground. I'm only splitting legal hairs because someone brought it up and there is a possibility that the activity videoed was not illegal. I'm not going to dive into Oklahoma penal code and read the definition of animal cruelty and the exceptions to it to find out either. Just offering some counterpoints.
  9. "I can't come up with a counter argument, better drop a spicy meme!" Although that is a spicy meme. Definitely saved for later.
  10. He was not. Hard to prove he did anything considering he was only holding the camera. I don't know if anyone else got into legal trouble for it. Do you know how Oklahoma defines animal cruelty? Because if they were using this as a method to teach the dogs to hunt together, this type of activity may be permitted. I don't have any knowledge of hunting with dogs so I could be wrong, but this seems like it could be a potential method for teaching dogs to hunt. It's just a raccoon.
  11. https://www.sfchronicle.com/49ers/article/49ers-Jeff-Wilson-continues-strong-run-for-14401008.php " Wilson opened eyes last year when the undrafted rookie from North Texas State had 266 yards and averaged 4.0 yards a carry in six late-season games " Ugh. Otherwise good article on him. The extra size may get him the nod over Mostert.
  12. No, we're upset about the hit piece on by almost all accounts an upstanding young man that made a mistake. We're outraged by the outrage culture, if you will.
  13. Assume what you want, but I didn't see a video of Khairi snipping raccoon tendons with rusty scissors. He just videoed dogs attacking a raccoon. That's one player's word against Khairi's. If I remember correctly, the ref wasn't even in place to see what happened and the replay didn't have an angle on it either. But you're going to believe what you want and that's fine. Using armchair psychology to attack random people on the internet and tearing down a young man's reputation must be really fulfilling.
  14. As much as I think this story is overblown, in Texas, cruelty to a trapped wild animal is against the law from what I remember researching when this initially happened. That being said, I heard it happened in Oklahoma and I don't know what Oklahoma's laws are. Additionally, there were a lot of armchair hunters that seemed to know a lot about "well that's not how you train dogs to hunt" but I think there could be a strong legal defense to saying that you were trying to teach the dogs to hunt. In my opinion, it's all much ado about a damn raccoon.
  15. I really hope these games serve as reminders not to overlook ACU for our guys.
  16. I thought he was going to be one of the better QBs in the conference but he's been erratic against an FCS defense.
  17. Johnston looks BAD for UAB
  18. Meanwhile a wide receiver at Texas is only sitting out one game after beong arrested for carrying a pistol without a license (surveillance showed he had racked a round into the chamber in public) and Kai Locksley is still on the team at UTEP after being arrested on weapons and drug (if I remember correctly) charges. Yet people on this board thought that Khairi should be KICKED OFF THE TEAM FOR AN OFFENSIVE VIDEO ABOUT A RACCOON BEING KILLED. Whoa man, that's some hardened criminal activity right there compared to all the other upstanding college football players out there /sarcasm. Not only that, his experience can help guide other teammates to make better choices and be better people. NT Daily is drivel.
  19. North Texas: 59 Westish Texas: 24
  20. I hope we curb stomp your ass (on the field of course).
  21. I'm just saying if I was his teammate, coach, gm, etc, I would feel blindsided, especially this close to the opening of the season. I sincerely doubt this most recent injury had him do a 180 and completely change his mind about playing. I bet he's been thinking about retiring for most of the off season. He could have at least clued someone in the organization in that he was thinking this, especially given his injury history. He's made over $100 million with (I think) $19 million guaranteed in 2019. He could at least ride the pine with his injury and help advise Brissett for the year.
