MTSU - 100 NT - 32 (our average score for the year) Our defense couldn't stop a wet paper bag. We have severe regression on defense.

I was really confused as to why he left the program. I think we all assumed at the time it was forced resignation but maybe that's not the case?

To be fair, the receiving corps was in REALLY rough shape that first year. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with the move, but I can understand the desperation SL and staff felt to get some athletic receivers in.

He has done a good job at recruiting. I think this season's issues are matters of coaching. Shorter, White, and Hair-Griffin have all flashed at WR, but not consistently. The lack of consistency in my mind is coaching, not talent. Also, there has been obvious confusion on offense and it seems like a lot of the receivers don't know the route trees very well. Again, this is an issue of coaching in my mind. I just can't decide if it's Reeder, Littrell or both.

We're going to need to pull an SMU if we want to be a contender in the conference next year. I'm just talking generally, I don't necessarily think we need to bring in a QB like Buchele. Depending on how things shake out, we may get a good look at what was waiting behind Fine...unfortunately. I do think Bean, Aune, and Kason all have talent to start, it's just a matter of who is the best fit.

If this is how Mason's senior season ends I will forever blame this coaching staff for wasting one of the most talented quarterbacks we've ever had.

Seriously, yall need to chill out. We're down 8 points. We haven't played a perfect game and the defense has been atrocious but we're still in it. This isn't nearly as demoralizing as UH

They like Mostert for his abilities on special teams, which I think is the main reason they pick him over Wilson. Still, if he's inactive, can't he be picked up off of waivers?
