Good question. I assumed OC but maybe not.

I saw Bean hitting those deep throws more often in his limited play. I wanted Aune to start after his performance in the last two games but I wanted Bean to get a chance after Aune overthrew at least 5 guys that were wide open.

We kicked our own asses, especially on the 14 point swing on special teams.

Not the knee so not ACL. Looked like a lower leg injury. Pure speculation, broken leg. Probably done for the season. Damn, just checked, already burned his redshit. RS Sophomore.

If you remember, he turned down a 26 year old nobody for Graham Harrell. I think SL made the right move at the time.

3-3-5 with no Spring, Summer, or Fall = Disaster
peanuts104 replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
The defense was not the problem tonight. They played well considering the personnel issues. Anytime you get into situations where the opposing team starts in your territory (what was it 3 times?) in a game, it is going to be difficult to respond to that. That being said, a new DC with a modified scheme with no spring and a limited fall is going to be a disaster for any team. The real problem tonight was Ekeler's special teams units. Dear god. The slow start on offense and Aune overthrowing receivers/receivers dropping passes in the endzone didn't help either, but what really killed us was the 14 point swing on special teams mistakes. -
Jeff Wilson expected to be early-down back for 49'ers

https://www.ninersnation.com/2020/9/27/21458813/49ers-injury-updates-mckinnon-left-with-an-upper-rib-injury McKinnon has a rib injury. Wilson will likely be the premier RB next weekend. Our gun guy(damn autocorrect) is gonna shine. Glad he's getting his opportunity. -

I know it's garbage time against a bad defense but Wilson has done his job and done it exceptionally today. -

McKinnon has been getting most of the carries today. Wilson is on clean up duty right now. -

With Mullens in at QB and Wilson likely to be RB 1, I am looking forward to this game. -
You hate the football program and are actively trying to destroy it. Why would you post athletic department news in the football forum if it is not directly related to the football program? Your rag is trash.

Oline looks greatly improved...hopefully that continues and we can keep this coach around for a couple of seasons. The fact that we held onto our last coach for as long as we did when it was obviously a coaching deficiency was disappointing.
-
I agree.
-
So we're making excuses for the Dan Mac era now? I agree, defensively the 2014 season wasn't bad. As bad as the QB play was I was surprised we even were competitive in most those games. That doesn't excuse being blown out by Portland State the next year. And if this year goes like 2015 did then yes we need a change, but people saying the sky is falling after two games need to chill out. I went into this season expecting the defense to be in a rebuilding year and knew they were handicapped severely by having to work with new staff and having no spring ball and limited fall ball.
-
Then who? Please name a specific coach. Then please explain how we will be able to stay competitive with a defensive minded coach in an offensive league for the 1 to 2 year recruiting lag.
-
The fact that nobody has named a specific replacement for SL tells me all I need to know. You're just mad.
-
We tried that with ole' Dan. Let's go back to those great days. /S
-
I would literally give money (actual cash, go to the bank and give it to SL in hand) to not quit. You morons lack any concept of history with Todd Dodge, Dan McCarney, etc. I want us to win but holy **** he's kept us competitive in our division which is a ****ing miracle considering our football history. If you want Bill Belichick, expect to pay out much more.

I didn't see any quit in the offense in the game. I did see an outmatched defense, mostly considering personnel losses. Your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.
-
We tried the defense wins championship thing. It was called the Dan McCarney Era and it sucked except for one season.
-
I ate my words on Graham long ago. I was wrong and he was a great OC for us.
-
We don't have enough personnel to play 4-3. Our linebacking group is depleted. It doesn't really matter what we run. Hell, we should just run 3-4 D-line and put safeties and corners in at this point.
