I'm for government policy that leads to tangible benefits for the average American (Medicare for All, higher education reform, etc). This is all bullshit crony capitalism.

We're the second worst source of emissions as a nation, and one of the worst per capita (Canada and Saudi Arabia are right there with us). Meaning our actions as Americans are having an outsized impact on the problem. Additionally, the US is responsible for the majority of emissions since 1791.

I know it's popular in the greater Denton community to bash UNT's growth plan, but the proposed acquisitions are vital to growing and improving campus and this side of the city. The existing commercial and residential uses in these areas suck (professional planner speak). Moving towards Bonnie Brae won't draw half the outrage as losing beloved restaurants, but will involve displacing a lot of low income/student housing. It'll have to be done carefully.
