Here are a few of my last minute thoughts about today’s game against UAB: WE HAVE TO BE BETTER AT FINISHING DRIVES. Whether that means better play calling from GH, O-Line keeping up run blocking/pass coverage, Mason diming the deep ball, or Jeff getting a second wind on the run, remains to be seen. It has to be done though. WE NEED TO GET STOPS ON 3rd & LONG. We have been okay to good on 1st and 2nd down leaving opponents in 3rd & long (5 or more yards) and we haven’t been able to stop nearly enough of those. WE HAVE HAD A HARD SCHEDULE SO FAR. Lamar was a good game against an FCS Opponent so a blowout is to be expected. SMU appears to be a serious contender in the AAC this year rolling with #16 TCU for a while. Iowa plays #4 Penn State tonight. Also Iowa has been receiving AP Top 25 votes since the beginning of the season, so I’m going to call them a difficult team. FINALLY ANOTHER HOME GAME. It feels like the Lamar game was forever ago (partially due to this biochem class having it’s way with me so far this semester SOS), but it’s because we have had 2 road games in a row. Will be interesting to see how many people show up with it being Parent’s Weekend but also still hot. WE HAVE A CHANCE TO START CONFERENCE PLAY 1-0. We get a middle of C-USA team at home to open conference. If we are going to make a run at bowl eligibility or a conference title, a win today would mean a lot. THE GUYS ARE BUSTING THEIR BUTTS. I am friends with several of the guys on the team, and I know how hard they have been working everyday. They want to win more than any person on this board does, I can guarantee you that. OUR SOPHOMORES ARE REALLY GOOD. Look at who some of our best players are: Mason is a sophomore, JG is a sophomore, Khairi is a sophomore, Bryce is a sophomore. ITS TIME FOR THE HAMMER. We had to be nice against Lamar 3 weeks ago because of Harvey and they’re an FCS team. Now though, we’re playing a conference mate. It’s time to show them how we put the Mean in Mean Green.

Was he a good recruiter?

I’m rewatching Last Chance U right now and noticed this guy recruiting wearing a North texas shirt. Does anyone know who he is?

The old farts here just keep getting older. Glad you get to see another one. And always remember, pls no ban.

After reading those predictions, I’m reminded of why they’re called the “Blazers”.

Also, next year we’re going to have Mason, Jason, & Kason as QBs. Now try to keep all of these -ason s straight.

I meant surprising because A) they rated UAB 2 spots above us this week & B) They typically choose against UNT I give the people what they want.

Pretty ballsy move. Great if we win and have a good crowd. Not good if no one shows up and we lose. All your eggs in one basket and what not. Guess we’ll just have to win.

Trevor is a senior now so he’ll be gone next year. We need to find this kicker immediately and offer him haha. Side Note: DOES THIS EVEN COUNT???
