I would just like to clarify that I don’t think our recruiting is bad. It’s more of a how come we can get guys to commit and then spontaneously decommit so close together. We’ve had 3 decommits this season. I do like all of the guys who have committed so far though.

How many coaches do we have with a winning record at all?

We aren’t struggling on the field, I mean that we lost our 3rd and 5th highest rated recruits in the last month.

We’ve recently lost 2 of our better commits, and picked up a really good one. Why do you think we are struggling with recruiting right now?

It would be, if coach McCarney had been able to beat every team in the West.

It would come down to our regular season winning percentages. We are 6-3 while FIU is 6-2. FIU was going to play Indiana earlier in the season, but had that game cancelled due to a hurricane. Indiana would have likely been a loss though. 6-2>6-3. FIU was able to pick up a last minute game against UMass @ FIU. UMass @ FIU is a MUCH more winnable game than FIU @ Indiana. Our 3 losses are to SMU, Iowa, & FAU. Their 2 losses are to MTSU & UCF. If they run the table all the way through we’ll play @ FIU. If they run their conference schedule, but then lose their last game to UMass, then more tiebreakers will be discussed.

Good teams find a way to win, bad teams find excuses for losing. We won. Would I loved to have blown them out? Heck yeah! Am I happy that we have beaten every team in the West we’ve played? Heck yeah! Am I going to go to every home game regardless of if we win by 1 or lose by 39? HECK YEAH!

Most concerning thing there is him saying Jeff isn’t 100%.

This is a pretty big game for this program. Big implications if North Texas wants to take the next step and take over for the West division in the conference game. LA Tech is 4-4 (2-2) right now with conference wins over Rice and WKU. They lost to Southern Miss and UAB. We’re coming off a 45-38 win over ODU that wasn’t nearly as close as the score implied. (- 2 KOR = 45-24) I would be willing to bet big money that we don’t allow a KOR for a TD this game. UNT had a bad game against FAU, but it looks like the defense was able to recover and show great improvement (allowed just over 1/3 of what was allowed in FAU). Give me UNT winning this one 45-34.

I talked to my abnormal psychology professor today about the game. He’s a grad student btw. He said it was the first UNT game he went to and really enjoyed it, except for the “crowd experience was terrible”. I asked him which side he sat on, and he said the alumni side. He had 50 yard line tickets.

Still no Bryce English to be seen. Hopefully he is taking the right amount of time to heal. ANDY FLUSCHE!!! 5 tackles, with 2 solo and 2 TFL. AND HE FINALLY GOT HIS INT! The refs couldn’t rob him of that one (I’m looking at you SMU refs). Very proud of my eldest son today.

I am sick and tired of the alumni side not doing anything during the game. I am hoarse from screaming after every game and I look over and the alumni side are all sitting down. Get off your butt and cheer on our team.
