  1. Honestly, I’m more upset that it’s 77 degrees in December, than I am that we lost to FAU.
  2. We lost to what is probably the 2nd or 3rd best G5 program by 24. Losing by 24 sucks, but as much as I hate to admit it, FAU is really good this season. So yeah, feel angry that we lost, but remember where we were 2 years ago, and even last year. 1-11 to 5-8 to 9-4 + a bowlgame still to play. That’s an extra 4 wins per year. 13-1 next season?
  3. We have approximately 37,000 undergraduate students (aiming for 42,000 by 2020 though). If we go with the bare minimum to be a full time student, that would be 12 hours, at an increase of $4.25 per hour per semester. That would give athletics an extra $1.9M per semester, or $3.8M per year. That’s a huge boost, I will be voting yes.
  4. We should be pursuing both Kuithe brothers btw. @TheReal_jayDany idea if our offer is still good?
  5. After the 247 rerank, he is now a .8427 recruit. Hopefully we are going after him.
  6. 🔥🔥🔥
  7. Obviously it sucks Jeff is injured. Like I said he is one of the better backs we have had, but let’s look at how true air raids function at RB. Washington State (coached by Mike Leach), has 2 RBs that share the rushing. Their leading rusher this season is Jamal Morrow who is 5 foot 9 inches, and has rushed for 522 yards and has 479 receiving yards. Their next leading rusher is 5 foot 11 inches with 381 rushing yards and 417 receiving yards. Jeff has done great stuff for us, theres no questioning that. If we want to be a true air raid offense though, then we need smaller backs who receive just as much if not more than they rush.
  8. I’ve been thinking about this since I heard the Jeff went down. Jeff is an amazing player and has done some amazing things in his time here. He will be fondly remembered for years to come. I think Nic Smith is a better back for this type of offense though. He is a smaller and shifty back with really good hands. The Air Raid relies on being able to spread the ball around and usually relies on smaller, but faster guys. Nic Smith has the speed to be optioned out to play receiver and cut across the middle of the field. We’ve been better off by throwing on 3rd and short than running on 3rd and short. Nic Smith isn’t a big back to run up the middle for 2 or 3 but he can be optioned out across the field to receive it. We do need a FB just to mix things up, but I feel that Nic Smith will see a lot of use next year, and not just in the running game.
  9. How “BIG” of names are we talking here? Big as in lots of offers or P5 offers, big as in low, mid, or high 3 stars, or big as in great tape? Throw a dog a bone pls.
  10. 247 shows that Rucker committed to Purdue.
  11. Obviously never want to see a player get injured, regardless of which team they play for. Was more of a statement on how this game is having a bunch of injuries. Hoping that Samuel is okay.
  12. I was watching closely and that downed guy didn’t even move. Not even a twitch when touched. We’re playing PHYSICAL on defense.
  13. Bert Veto of the DRC, some people call him Brett Vito, but that is an antiquated name.
  14. We’re all super happy with where we are right now. But I was thinking about it, and I’ve never heard Bert ask a difficult question in my 3 years here. What difficult question(s) should Bert ask?
  15. I’m still hoping that we can play Texas in the HoD Bowl. We would sell out the entire Cotton Bowl.
  16. He just needs to hit at least 268 yards per game in the next 3 games to hit 4000 yards on the season.
  17. I don’t think so, BUT TALK ABOUT A TRAP GAME. Coming off an emotional win against Army and the next week playing for revenge and in the CCG.
  18. Only reason I really care is because we lost 2 three stars, one almost three star, and then a solid player at a position we really need depth at
  19. Anyone know what happened?
  20. Update: I got the $300k number from USA Today, which hasn’t been updated. http://www.dentonrc.com/sports/mean-green/2016/08/03/unts-new-ad-deal-richer-than-its-last This article from @Brett Vito says his base salary is actually $375k. So I guess the question is kind of null, but still do you think we should renegotiate it?
  21. After a successful first season in football we redid Seth’s contract, giving him a raise and an extension. Right now, Wren is making $375k/year. Lisa Campos, UTSA’s new AD just signed a contract for $375k/year. Should we redo Wren’s contract and give him an extension and/or a raise, or do you want to see more first?
