    30,000 seat capacity stadium with 75% full has the illusion of more fans than a 65,000 seat stadium that is 1/3 full.

    DMN wrote an article saying Morris left because the administration did not want to build him an indoor practice facility and he had asked for that since he arrived. Guess who is getting one in #NewDenton? Also, you want fans. Fans make recruiting easier. Not saying our fans vs SMUs fans will determine if a player goes to UNT over SMU, but it could determine them going to Houston over SMU. UNT has that in the bag right now vs Rice, UTEP, and to some extent, UTSA.

    I also think Orlando and Traylor are better positioned to be head coaches at SMU based on their recent successes at big schools.

    UNT could get him close enough to $2 Million to make him stay, plus he already has 2 years of his rebuild done. A conference championship next year or double digit wins would be enough for him to get $4 Million offers from P5 schools. He will be the next Scott Frost next season if he does that. 1-11 to back to back division titles and maybe more. WAYYYY more competition in the AAC with Houston, Memphis, USF, UCF, and Navy all being good and in his way. Would take him 2-3 years to get SMU lined up to beat those schools.

    I think Morris goes to Arkansas. Idk why people love his name. Only think he's done at SMU is make a bowl this year. He was 2-10 his first year.

    Remember last year when 7-5 Army vs. 5-7 UNT was supposed to be the #40 ranked bowl game but instead UNT actually took the game into OT and made it interesting?

    The loss to LA Tech is the reason they are at home. And I'm glad they lost. LA Tech would be sitting at home at 5-7 if they did not clinch their bowl eligibility against UTSA on the last weekend of the season.

    We are also only going to get better. A team full of Freshmen and Sophomores got us there. Yes some seniors had their moments like Wilson, Moore, and McClain, but our core offense is coming back and will be that much better next year, hungry for that championship.

    What I’m not getting is the latest that Brett McMurphy posted last night on his Facebook!(using my phone or I would link it). He says FAU is torn between Gasparilla and the Boca Bowl. Says nothing about them even wanting Indy. Utah has changed course and is going to the Potato Bowl at Boise so they opened up their Heart of Dallas slot that he gave to a MAC team. Two bowls open against P5 schools and the division champions seem to have nothing in them. I get HoD can chose what other conference they want to replace the BIG10 that went to PAC 12 and down to a G5, but seriously, our conference needs to be lobbying for that bowl for the sake of playing in our backyard against Texas Tech. Vito is on this train that UNT wants their players and coaches to be able to enjoy Christmas. I’m fine with that, IF that is what THEY really want and nothing else that comes with playing a P5 school. McMurphy also said FSU to Indy is a think after Jimbo left.

    Bring your cap and gown to the bowl game? Ask the Athletic Department to hold an offsite graduation ceremony with Wren Baker (VP of Athletics) as the acting President to officiate :D

    He's going to PWO anywhere he wants. Even if he was a legit 5 star QB, the Jones will easily pay his way because it would mean more talent on scholarship at another position. Probably for his best WR from his HS. Anything to keep the Jones happy.

    He has So Miss playing FSU in the Independance Bowl. Says FSU is lobbying for Gasparilla in St. Pete. He has FAU playing USF in Gasparilla. Why not have FSU swap with USF for the Independance Bowl and have UNT play where with So Miss playing in NOLA. Happy for our players, but it’s a 2 week turnaround for a team that is playing in a conference championship. Really hope he is wrong. I’ll be there either way. If we do beat FAU, I’d love to play FSU in St. Pete or Shreveport. USF would be a nice consolation prize if we lose to FAU. Not the Sun Belt in the very first bowl game of the season.

    They have offers to ASU (who doesnt have a coach) and Boise. Would be great of Seth Picked up the phone and started calling these two.

    No way they can get this game to Florida at Gasparilla via trade? Keep the Florida Schools in Florida and we get an AAC team in Shreveport, but a quality AAC team? Heck even a residual P5 team. I love the date for the bowl and that it is a "travel bowl" against a potentially good opponent.

    December 16th is too early for a bowl game, no matter who it is against, nor where it is. Still hoping for some bowl swaps to get us a later date and possibly in a bowl we were not even considering against a quality G5 opponent or any P5 opponent. Doubt it happens, but one can hope!
