Anyone watching? I am at work and keeping track through ESPN's app. Really wish UNT was playing there.

This game had the potential to be UNT vs Texas Tech. Both teams would have traveled well. I really want someone who makes decisions on these things to realize that.

Thanksgiving weekend game? -
I thought Daniel Kahn was graduating? He was announced on Senior day.

I’m excited for Sept 1st!!

Ek got his players excited to play. To some degree, Mac did the same on D. No one on this staff has the energy that those two did. I would love to see SL add an element to his coaching tool box and light up on a referee for one of those pass interference calls or lack there of. I'd love to see SL be chest bumping players for a great series or stop. Hell get a position coach that will do it for the players. Refs need to be lit up time to time for blatant calls.

How are parking passes included in this? $250 for a parking pass but the tickets are separate?

Troy OC to South Alabama - Same Position
greeneagle1 replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Troy wasn't really known for their offense most of the year. Maybe they were looking to move him anyways for a high octane OC? What was his salary this year and what is it now? -
SMU would have been a win. They only won 2 games that year, one being us. Rice wasn't very good either and that's what started Bailiffs decent. We really should have beat Portland State. The only reason the score was so high was because the team quit on Mac by then. This years team would have done it. We would have beat UTSA and UTEP. Both were bad that year. At minimum 5-7 but definitely could have seen up to 7 wins. Iowa and Tennessee are obvious. WKU and La Tech were really good that year and I think our offense is what those teams had. D is what would have let us down in those games. This was also the start of Marshall's fall after Cato graduated. He was the reason they were so good for a while. Maybe a winnable game there, maybe not. MTSU went 7-5 that year before the bowl and just beat teams they should have. Possibly could have won this one too. So Miss went 8-4 before the bowl and that would have been a tough game. Maybe could have won at home but since it was on the road, I would have given it to them, especially with Jr Nick Mullens. So yeah 5-7 through 7-5 would have been reasonable.

***OFFICIAL 2017 NEW ORLEANS BOWL GAME THREAD***
greeneagle1 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Reffett has to go. Can’t continuously ask the offense to score 40 points a game to keep up with how many points the defense gives up. Mason had a bad day yes, but the defense can’t get a stop once the cross the 50. All touchdowns for Troy today. -
A lot of 6-6 or 7-5 teams made bowls.

Thinking about ordering this customized hoodie
greeneagle1 replied to WilliamQuinn's topic in Mean Green Football
Yeah I will try next time I am in Denton. I really should have bought it that night. Had a friend in that wore a T-Shirt and shorts to the game, even though it was windy and cold. He kept saying he was ok because he was from Pittsburg and I was going to buy the hoodie to keep him warm for the game and then just keep it for myself after. Should have just done that. -

Thats the one from 2 years ago when Nike had the coaches polos with the long stripe going down the back. Mac's last year here. -

Ok I saw a hoodie I really wanted at the UNT/Army game. It looked like this, but UNT of course. I have not been able to find it anywhere since. I am really kicking myself for not buying it that day. It was around $80. I really like the bar below that has the team colors. -
You can ask him on twitter now. https://twitter.com/PapaRickyV?lang=en

Hmm maybe Next time the conference and athletic department will take this into consideration for a division champion to get a more likeabke game closer to home. still upset all efforts were not made by either ESPN, the bowl itself, Texas Tech, big 12, Conference USA or our own administration to not get us in the HoD Bow against Tech. Most money sense. But what do we know?
-
This all goes back to an administration who wanted a bowl game that was the day of graduations. Yes they are offering one on NOLA, but it is immediately after finals and interferes with students who have already purchased plane or bus tickets to go home. Local students can go, but they too may have pre-planned graduation parties to attend or just want to spend time with their families because school is tough, man. Bigger opponent on a date after Christmas might have had a better draw for upperclassmen who have had their chance to enjoy a week or two off from school by then.

DRC: Source: Littrell not interested in SMU job
greeneagle1 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
@Brett Vito how as Seth been a "hot name in college football recently"? and what (multiple) head coaching jobs has he been contacted for? -
Had the same thought. Memphis was pretty good the last couple years and he has recruited Texas in the past.

It's not like Morris was lighting fires at SMU. Dykes isn't going to set a fire to SMU either, no matter how good they think they are. 7-5 should not be considered a success there.
