  1. Dome, Resort Style Hotels, Being 2nd largest sports team in the city as well... Those are bells and whistles..
  2. I do agree that they wore down but the offense didn't help them.. they both had problems, trying to find out which caused the other is just like the chicken/egg discussion.. they both had an affect on the other
  3. While I agree the offense didn't help the defense, the defense didn't do much to help them in the 2nd half.. Long, time eating drives are bad for the Air-RAID.. you get out of your rhythm.. Both sides need to improve on 3rd down
  4. The bells and whistles... Kids staying at resort style hotels, a dome (even if crappy) and the Baylor win (even if Baylor sucks now)...
  5. Thanks for the insight
  6. No idea but I would think so, also he is likely to get that hardship extra year he lost last year from transferring to be closer to his dad
  7. UAB was the very earliest and an unlikely one to reach from the start.. the time frame that I was told and that has been said on here is 6-8 weeks.. either UAB or UTSA.. Yep that's what it was from the start
  8. Honestly the offense so far has been better than I had wished.. yes some was in garage time but it's a lot better than last year.. just have to hope we can solve the 3rd down on offense during conference play
  9. Have we heard anything about Darden? He was injured by our own man on that last KR, and had to be helped off?
  10. The timeline since before the season was either UAB/UTSA time frame and he is still on track for an October return
  11. Could careless if I'm alone.. but we have to admit it was a luck play..
  12. Wouldn't you if someone else was paying for schooling and housing?
  13. I do agree, and UTSA got Baylor but they are looking like trash.. But if Baylor keeps losing goes 1-11 or 3-8 (who knows) and Iowa finishes in the Top 25.. I would have to say our game vs Iowa was more impressive. yes I get that UTSA won and UNT lost, but if everyone is beating Baylor then they aren't impressive and Iowa had to fight back vs UNT..
  14. I'm guessing offers like CU, Utah have dried up.. I have no idea but just a gut feeling.. Tech I have no idea if they would move on from a kid like Gage, but I would like to think UNT stays in contact with him for him to recommit again.. @TheReal_jayD do you know if we are still recruiting or has this ship sailed? My question is if that's true.. do we think UNT leaves a scholarship open for him? Sign and fingers crossed he makes it? Blue-shirt (thought it wasn't allowed now?)
  15. It rolling out of bounds and UNT getting it back without giving up any points was a fluke...
  16. LOLOLOLOL that kid has some moves, and can take a punch... what kind of milk has it been having?
  17. Please don't get my hopes up...
  18. agreed, focus on UAB, and after that we have 2 weeks to prep for UTSA, which will be very needed...
  19. Disappointed that we didn't get him, had a solid list and someone we should have focused on.. He never was here on an Official visit, which is surprising since he was down the road... Would have been a great addition, but still a # of DE/OLB that we have offered that are still out there the kid Fowler and Brandford-Thomas... Wonder how much the commitment of Vada King impacted, on top of UTSA beating a disappointing Big12 team impacted him.. I'm guessing it had a big impact.
  20. While I agree that was a fluke... the first TD that was overturned for rolling out the endzone was a fluke as well.. Yes UNT got some bounces, and Iowa got some as well
  21. Wasn't Gage supposed to announce this weekend? I saw he is still seeking out coaches.. he was tweeting at SFA and ECU just a few days ago.
  22. One of the NFL Network guys went to UNT, Elliot Harrison..
  23. Khari had a solid game.. he was all over the field doing what I thought McClain should be doing.. the long TD run that was called back, was on Wheeler.. Khari did get carried in the endzone by there TE for score to put Iowa up, but what do we expect he gave up like 6-8 inches and 50+ lbs to him.. Again it was solid but not great, the closest we had to a great game was the DL that held down the fort for nearly 3 quarters. Khari was likely the best guy in the rest of the defense, going up against an offense that very physically imposing compared to him
  24. Have to agree about going with Quinn would have been smart.. my question throughout the 2nd half was is Fine playing limited because of the injury.. We will never know but I think it was in the back of his mind.. Just my 2 cents even with Quinn and Fine being similar in size, I think Quinn is better equipped to take hits... We just have to hope if Fine is banged up, it doesn't affect the season that they keep running him out there at 70-80-90%
  25. Is that @Mg_football_know... maybe MG means Marty's Gone?
