I saw that and it made me wonder about when Carson announced he was leaving the team.. But he posted last night he was going to need another surgery on his shoulder (I believe), and that was why he was going to be leaving the team. Worrisome that we are only down to 3 QBs now, and have to hope that Fine/Quinn can last the entire season so we don't have to burn Pearson RS...

Yep he is on ST.. With him moving from QB to RB during the spring, and then from RB to LB (after the spring game).. I would say he is still learning the position and likely why he hasn't played much LB...

Sidenote, I thought it was very cool for this to be done, I know its doubtful but wish they woulda showed some of his highlights. Also, hopefully the recruits got to see this and looked more into UNT and the parents of the recruits remember Haynes as well.

To steal from Baylor, doesn't/didn't Baylor do something that students could run onto the field before the game has started and before the teams Yes on the dorms, yes they have random signs about games and how to get tickets up all over campus.. If you're a student it is very easy to find out about when we have a game.. They text you to accept your ticket...

Soo the USM defense is better than Iowa's in terms of talent? Just asking because I'm going to assume that Iowa has better recruits (with better offer lists) than USM

We only beat them because they had a True-Freshman QB that had multiple turnovers instead of their All-Conference QB

I'm going to assume that USM hasn't seen an offensive of this caliber (so far this season, knock on wood)... similar to us not having faced a defense as good as theirs yet (aren't they a highly ranked defense??) Also, I think Vito posted it in the DRC that USM had only gotten 5 sacks and 2 INTs so far this year? Does this mean they aren't blitzing? If they are blitzing, are they getting pressure?

Agreed, wonder if the offer is still valid... If he were to come here, what does he play? His Hudl says he is 5'8... It has worked with Khari but can he play Safety or would we rather have him at CB? Would be a nice addition. Seems to be a homerun hitter.

Why should the game not been that close? They have recruited better, and been practicing in these schemes for a while now? This wasn't game one for them, they had weeks to shake off the rust...

You act like it's not a big deal but it is.. highest QB in that QB room, who was here as a PWO.. had the tools to be a solid QB that was recovering from a injury. Yes he didn't play a snap, but he was in the QB room, on the team, and in that locker-room. I'm going to assume he is still in school at UNT, but we don't know if this has impacted his education as well. This also only leaves us with 4 QBs, it now leaves us with Fine and Quinn, then Pearson and Carson at QB..

True we have made progress... Creating positions that were needed like the Graphics, and the Sports Nutritionist are things we are catching up in. Hopefully we had A LOT more positive things for him to say about the visit than negatives, and it sounds like it from what you have posted.

They were rated 130 out of 130 because they did not play for years... If anyone thinks that the UAB team we played on Saturday is worse than UTEP, Rice and other schools like TXST, etc. then you have 0 knowledge of football... UAB is a solid team (that A LOT of people here overlooked), they have had better recruiting than us (top 2 in 2016, with 19 3* players alone).. They have been able to practice in these systems likely nearly the same amount of time as our guys under SL... UAB is not a cakewalk team like people think because they were "ranked" 130 out of 130.. Lets ask OU who dominated vs Ohio State (and most likely ranked higher than OU), if Baylor who is 0-4 was a cakewalk because they were ranked lower than OU.. The idea that UAB is the worst time 130 out of 130 is down right dumb.. They were ranked that low because the national media is lazy and doesn't give a real crap about C-USA, nor do they do any real evaluation of the programs below a certain point. UNT is ranked low because we went 1-11 2 years ago and only won 5 games last year and have had CRAP recruiting... The idea that the staff isn't new anymore but they are in their 17th game is only half correct... Yes SL has been here 17 games, but half the staff has been here for 4, so the staff is still partially new which leads to errors. Coaches trying to see how they fit in together and how to get guys into the correct spots.. UNT handled Lamar like they should, UNT out played Iowa for 3/4 of the game with UNT lacking the ability to stop/move the ball on 3rd down... and UNT fought against a UAB team that is very, very, very overlooked... SMU was a terrible game.. UNT has problems but it can and has shown it can over come them at times, they lack confidence in finishing/putting away games which is understandable considering the history of UNT...

during the spring game, he was dominate more times than not.. No idea if thats just because OL is/was bad.. or because he is that good... But I'm not going to count him out
