It’s not that CUSA is light years ahead.. UNT wants to move on from being a bottom dweller and last chance U of D1 in terms of kids settling for UNT because it’s the only offer.. you want to impress fans and change the image of the program go play someone tougher than you.. The SBC is not tougher than CUSA but the MW is.. Troy is a great team that I’m happy to play because it’s a challenge but they are part of a crappy conference, and it’s a school that most Alumni have no idea where it is... you want to build a brand, stop playing schools and conferences below you and play someone bigger and win.. NO is a great city and place for a bowl but the conference is a CRAP match up.. #2 in CUSA should played up a leave and not down..

Just got an alert on my phone UNT vs Troy in NO bowl...

It is old.. we have over 50% of the guys who have 1 more game or 1 season left.. the guys leaving, we have 0 idea of what to expect from the replacements as well.. This team has some solid young depth but most of them that have played this year were only on KO coverage.. they should have been getting them into more games but couldn’t because of the close scores.. Guys like Sanders, Davis, Johnson, Howard, Novil saw very very limited action in games with Novil only playing the last few games because of depth issues on the DL.. For people that disagree, I view “young” as someone who has multiple years left.. the Jrs and seniors on this team currently are not young guys..

100% agreed on the P5, wish the NO bowl was lower and a better G5 team/conference was put at #2

He is committed but has not been added to the list.. His season finished up 1 or 2 weeks ago I believe.

Playing scared is not facing tougher teams in better conferences.. Play Troy while it is a solid team is in a crappy conference that we should want 0 part of.. Play a solid game and we should get the win, and stop looking for an easy team to go out and beat..
