The logic that a W vs Troy is better than a W vs FSU is flat out stupid.. FSU trending down, and is a GAINT name and viewed as a SOLID P5, that won the NCAA title a few years ago.. Beating someone like FSU when they are down would be great for UNT in recruiting and would re-energize this fan base.. It’s somewhat similar to UTSA beating Baylor.. UTSA got a lot of pub and FSU is far better than Baylor.. You want to go out pitch to fans, recruits about #NewDenton go beat a P5 and do the opposite of the past which is go to the NO and play Troy.. Yes Troy is solid but it’s not a sexy match up, nor are we a sexy match up for them either..

When was school brought up? My statement was about if someone is required to work the day after xmas then they likely will be working the weekends leading up to xmas..

You have no idea if they got an invite.. UNT did not consider The Indy bowl and settled for the NO, been told this by multiple people in the ticket office.. Multiple bowls reached out to UNT and they only focused on a select few..

More time for them to recruit, which they excel at..

A lot more fans would have gone to Shreveport vs FSU than NO bowl.. it’s crazy to think fans would not.. Got many friends that are disappointed because of USM

Wasn’t the Independence Bowl at the UTEP game? They saw a solid crowd.. and likely went terribly impressed with us struggling at the start vs UTEP (14-7 at half).. Im sorry but UNT should have rolled out the red carpet for the bowl officials and sold UNT to them.. Huge Fan base that has steadily brought more fans to each game over the season (outside of ODU).. close to home that it could be a day trip as well.. Would have been a solid Turnout to a successful season
