Totally agreed, but you saw him plenty in the championship game get happy feet and not look downfield.. The point I was making is Martin maybe the most talented QB we have recruited in a long time... He has it all in terms of height, weight, manageable speed and has been in this system, and great accuracy as well..

Fine can still get the ball out quicker and make better decisions passing the ball.. cold spells, you know like SMU when they had 6 scoring drives and we didn’t do anything after we were up 10 points.. FAU being down HUGE at halftime.. 2nd half vs Iowa..

You made the point he did his jump outside of FAU, USM, UAB.. Hell only did his job outside of it because the other programs had terrible offenses.. when this defense faces an able QB it gets shredded.. I’m sorry but he needs to go.. to many beat downs, a defense that has regressed.. let’s just hope he can put up a performance like he did vs UTSA the last time they had 2 weeks to prep for a game

Martin and Pearson have gotten the same number of reps in a College, 0.. Quinn has thrown only a handful of passes and has been basically a snap and hand it off.. I have wanted Quinn to get reps as much as anyone else on here.. So the idea I’m calling for him to be leapfrogged is hilarious.. Martin is a quality QB and maybe the best we have recruited (a number of people have questioned the staff decision on Bean).. The idea that Fine will never have competition again is shocking.. We should be wanting kids challenging him to make himself better, the team and the heir to the QB spot... The idea he doesn’t have anything to prove is hilarious.. he still needs to Prove he can be win a championship, go out and out UNT on the map.. You are settling on 2nd place, cold streaks, and a few blowouts a year.. Yes he took a step forward, but he should take another step ahead and he will only keep doing that with himself being challenged..

Where did I say Quinn was trash? I’ve called for playing Quinn in the blows out to avoid Fine from getting injured. Pearson and Martin both have proven 0 to us... I agree it’s a likely redshirt, but the idea and what I was saying was hoping he can come in and challenge for the job.. The better Martin is, that makes Fine, Quinn, etc better..

UTEP/Rice he should have done that.. UTSA couldn’t move the football this year and the OC got canned for it.. He went up against 3 of probably the 5 worst offenses in CUSA and did his jump.. The idea he gets a pass for the FAUs/ SMU beats are hilarious because he stopped Rice, UTEP, and UTSA.. ODU also had a true freshman at QB as well.. LOL yea Reff had 4 cupcake games and he did his job.. 1 vs a team that runs and he had faced 3 times (Army) and he gives up 500 yards.. oh also, LT had a darn Centerfielder playing QB LOL and still nearly beat us with 20 guys missing that game..

Yes Fine had a good year, and improved. still to many sacks, and cold spells. The idea that a kid comes in and is an auto RS is hilarious after what happened to Mason.. all of us should be glad to have Martin coming in the spring, because of the lack of QB depth..

Kid has game, and the size.. remember Fine was not a lock for the QB Job to start the year..

24/7 now says is an Early Enrolle now... Hope this is true, would love to see this kid in the strength program... Hope Fine is ready for the challenge, and hope Quinn/GH are able to coach Martin and Pearson up.

I'm torn and feel the same way... Feel like this game should be like FAU, either in UNT doing the beat down or Troy doing the beat down.. Troy has a great defense and UNT has a solid Offense.. Time to see if the Troy Defense is inflated because of the SBC or the UNT offense is inflated by CUSA.. I hope I'm wrong but I'll go with Troy because of their defense.. Troy- 38 UNT- 21 Please UNT gods, prove me be wrong.. This has been a better season than most of us all expected and we need a win to have positive vibes going into the off season.. Win big UNT and this should be the start of a hopefully a SUCCESSFUL recruiting season.

The dude gave up 3 blow out games... 2 vs the same team, and 1 was a CUSA RECORD.... and he allowed Sutton to have a 4 TD game.... on top of 2 more terrible performance that the defense had vs UAB, Army... In total the defense has been bad in 5 games, or basically 40% of the season.. (actually % is 38.5, but you get my drift)... He should have been replaced after the first FAU, and please don't say the defense improved after that.. Look at who we played.. ODU, Rice and UTEP... The offense took major steps forward, Special Teams had to adjust to Biagi, but the defense had the same guy and REGRESSED with our 2 best DBs looking completely lost for the 1st half of the year in McClain and Brooks only recently coming back.
