We have played like this in 4 of the 14 games this year.. were blow outs.. 2 more games we had no defense in UAB/Army..

They had atleast 3 in the last class that made it to campus.. Novil, TonyK and Reynolds.. Tibbs and King never made it

Vs FAU in the championship game and today.. we got shut the hell down for 3 of the 4 qtrs, with us having 1 outstanding Qtr.. The only difference is when the good Qtr happened..

This is true.. we narrowed our focus to 3/4 bowls and it didn’t include the Independence bowl.. NO was the top pick

Wouldn’t blame the OL coach.. he cut the number of sucks but it was still high because of the last to games (believe we had 23 for the regular season). 9 were given up in the championship game so that does inflat the # as well Murray is not a LT and could very wel be replaced by Parish.. Mayfield only played this year to allow Brammer to RS.. Woodworth and the Center are guy with experience but will be pushed by Newman and whoever else at LG with Henson being replaced by Moses..

Because his buyout will be lower then.. if a P5 job opens up and SL thinks he has a chance, he would just delay the extension talks knowing his buyout would be less making him more attractive.. Also, SL has been good to UNT in terms of what he has done with his position and salary.. do it now an it’s 1 less worry to deal with next year

It’s called luck.. 1 miracle play vs UTSA.. 1 miracle KR vs UAB, a missed FG by LT, besting Army as well.. How many close games went against UNT? None because the bad games were blowouts

Taking GH from a QB coach that never called plays at WSU to a top 20 offense is a diamond in the rough in terms of coaching findings in 2 years.. Recruiting diamonds are Lawrence, Fine, Evan Johnson, Khari among others.. How is it running them off? You made up a figure of us needing another 50k and I give you an example of how/where it could come from.. If improving the defense meant WB/SL were in a better position this time next year they should they should fork over the money themselves because it only makes them look better leading to them getting new contracts again.. an extra 25k from them today could be an extra 50-100k in bonuses next year..

I know plenty of Alumni and students who didn’t go because of 1 thing.. the SBC and having no idea who Troy was (again not hating on Troy they did their part).. But this match should have and could have been done up better by UNT. Fans had no idea who/where Troy was.. Fans know who the heck Colorado State is..

Offer SL another new contract.. Make him one of the higher paid G5 coaches, and in return UNT gets a bigger buyout if he leaves and a smaller payout if he is fired since he will be making top of the line G5 money.. I’d offer SL 1.3-1.5M (Kansas pays its HC 1.6 for example) to make it a painful for a smaller P5 football team to go buy him out. Also, We need to increase the OC/DC pay as well.. OC/DC pay needs to go from 500k to 900k-1M.. and the position coaches getting an increase of something like 5-600k if you want to bring in guys we need that can coach and recruit and have a proven history of it.. We just had 1 hell of a season in terms of record.. Bring in proven coaches and not guys trying to get a start..

Totally agree with you.. and gave you +1 On Paper it was a great year.. Watching it was totally different.. We answered some questions and lacked in others.. Also, I haven’t done the math but did we finished with a positive or negative point total this year???

If SL and WB are worried about finding an additional 50k maybe they should invest their bonuses that totaled more than $50k as well.. Numbers maybe off but SL got 10k for the bowl/championship, WB got another 20k for Vball/Soccer success and another 20k that was pending us accepting the bowl bid.. Vito had an article about it during the season (believe around the UTEP game).

Already wrote them a fat check to the school and AD office before the season to work for free for them to get a piece of paper.. It’s time for those big time donors to add on 1 or 2 more zeros and for the AD office to improve on that .03% of Alumni donation rate.. Plenty of people on here donated to help students go to NO for $60 bucks, and it was said about half went.. time for the AD office to tap into untouched markets and increase that .03% to .05 or higher..

Totally agree and said this all season... This is why the admin of the school and AD office need to be doing something about this when they have something to sale (9 wins)..

SL has shown he can find diamonds on the staff and in recruiting.. if NS/WB/admin and donors want to take the next step it’s time to go hire some good proven coaches. If we want to be taken serious, hire some P5 bounce back guys or up and coming guys even if they are here for 1 or 2 years.. This is when recruiting needs to take off and this is a time the admin and donors need to take advantage of.. Do not wait till next year, it’s. 9 win season that has impressed a vast # of fans.. Monday they need to start hitting the ground running focusing on the positives and strides made and find “fixes” for the problems like at DC..

Winning costs money, and if the school wants to show commitment and progress something needs to be done.. UNT needs to do something to change the outlook of the offseason following the last 2 beat downs we have suffered..

Hadn’t taken into account the letting go of/break up with Perry.. but if anything it just adds to the case that Reff needs to be replaced.. The question is who is left out there for us to bring in? And who are the coaches that will be gone similar to the rash of departures we offered last year..

Hire the Troy DC and his staff.. open up the pocketbooks and do it.. Use this as a chance to pitch to students about the need for the increase.. Donors pay the salaries, students pay for student athletes improvements..

You highly doubt NO was the only option for UNT during that run? Or you doubt fans only went because it was our superbowl?
