I think the staff would be able to recruit and prep these guys for a bowl game.. I also think kids would understand with a bowl game coming up as well

Not to sound stupid, but is there a specific Ticket office(I'm assuming that there is) to pick them up from if we go during the week? I haven't picked up tickets from the ticket office before and I'm picking up tickets for all the Alumni in my family since they already filled out the paperwork. Thanks ahead of time

If i had to pick, I think I would rather play against New Mexico just because I think that would be more of a "winnable" game.. Also closer for our fans..But again, would be awesome to play K-State and win

any info on the status? has it changed? Any connection with WB yet?

Would be great to give out team awards and have them named after Players... Best DLine would be Mean Joe, WR could be Johnny Quinn Award, etc.. stuff like that would help bring back these famous/important Alumni.

I do remember that game, and things like this get the players hyped up because its not a common thing. UNT could even do things like an all black with red/white/blue like A&M does... Would even love to see them design one for Mean Joe instead of wearing the old school and they could wear it when they dedicate a statue to him..

Yes the extra practice time is great, it helps us present something to the recuits that we can turn it around.. Also, no matter what the result is... We can chalk it up to making a bowl game and chipping in some money into the C-USA pot... Also, just playing in another bowl game will add to our very weak resume when it comes to conference expansion in the coming years... Also, we saw what EK and Reff could do with 2 weeks to prep for Army, would be interesting to see them prepping the defense for someone with possibly 3 weeks.. People have already brought up the quiet period, as no recruiting will be done, but we have already filled a descent chunk of this class with the 11 current verbals and more in the future.. Playing in a bowl game will help us get those kids that get snubbed by other schools, and could even help with Dec. Grads and Transfers as well.. But another thing for us to think about, if Morris could get rolling, it could be very interesting bowl game.

1 Win and a bowl game(hopefully), on top of another 2/3 weeks of practice for these Freshman and Sophomores.. Those extra 2/3 weeks of practice are huge for these young guys

I agree... Why is that everyone is so locked in on Fine... You can say that he lead us to all of the W's this year, but again most of those were games that Wilson dominated.. Next fall, maybe Pearson is better or even Izzy(if healthy) or even Auggie is he is truly coming in.. But Fine hasn't done anything to lock this up 100%. Yes he has had some flashes and moments with him passing for a couple of 300 yard games, but how many of those 300 year games involved him passing during garbage time(like UTSA and MTSU at the end) All we need is most likely 1 win to get Fine and all these other new/young guys another 2 or 3 weeks of practice for a bowl game... The goal should be get to a bowl game, it shouldn't be play for next year.. 1 Win and a bowl game should be more important to our future than packing it up and hoping for something next year.. You play the best guys now to get that additional practice time and go for the W, games like WKU are games that should be used to play for next year.

May not for their current head coach, but Phil Knight is willing to Pony up 10M a year for their next head coach

I know in recent history Georgia did a "Blackout" game and it was the first and was a major success.. another that UNT could do is "money suit" and it be green.. white as they call it "ice out"... and many others.. think it would be cool if UNT somewhat got into the uniform business like Oregon

I think all of us here are greatly impressed with what the staff as done with getting us to 4 wins... But what I think all of us want is 5 wins.. The team has not shown any improvement and has regressed or even come back to earth after those Marshall and Army Wins... But the disappointment and frustration with a lot of us is just needing 1 win or 2 ideally to get into a bowl.. Yes we didn't think we would challenge let along win vs LAT or WKU.. but UTSA wasn't that close either. Hopefully we can get 1 win but hopefully 2 to finish out the year and build some positive signs to the off-season/recruiting and hopefully a bowl W

Dont now if you saw, but Fine went out and right before half Morris wasn't moving his right arm either.. The only reason I brought up Means and Chum is because they have already(I Belive) been RS and we wouldn't have to burn Cason or O'haras But either way, if Morris has trucked not like it would have done much.. this team was already out of it

Me and @El Paso Eagle said this during the UTSA game and everyone said oh you guys hate fine/don't believe in fine... No we do believe in Fine but he isn't playing well and is in fluke... Bring in someone else to try and spark us or if anything give Fine a series or more to just recollect himself. But we had 5 weeks to get 2 wins to get to 6 to get to the required 6, but most likely needed 5... The sad thing is, if Mason is out the rest of the year and who knows how long Wilson is out(they said for sure he will miss USM) it will come down to people saying Morris couldn't do it and he gets the blame... But been saying it for awhile and glad others are starting to see and say it as well..

Or it could be that they are down to only 2 healthy QBs... with Fine Spraining his AC Joint.. Guys in the NFL sometime require surgery for this injury.. So yea lets lose Morris and then have to move back Means or Chum or even yet get O'hara out there and possibly burn a RS if he is getting it this year... But Morris did come in and pass the ball and the WRs let him down(again) with them dropping passes... and the OLine not blocking.. oh and Quinn did make it into the game

I'll be coming out with 4 or 5 alums for the game! Would be huge to get a W to finish out the home part of the season and build towards UTEP

I need to go back and look, didn't feel like we are at 11.. If thats correct, then i take it back.. I'll be impressed, but its funny how different it seems now after the Donovan thing that has happened recently
