  1. Crazy your at -7 for wanting normal production out of a QB..
  2. The entire team looked like trash. Mason only put up # mostly in trash time like vs SMU, UTSA, MTSU, BC and had 1 solid game vs MARS who has had a bad season.. again Morris got 2 INTs that should be on the WRs, and still lead our Team in passing till end of the BC game.. we can say Fine looked great vs SMU, but he looked great vs LAT in the first half going like 15 straight completions.. how did that turn out? Everyone is out to blame Morris, but Fine hasn't won a game without Wilson and Morris has, and oh by the way Morris won without Goree either...
  3. While Muhammad is small, I think he could be something. Trust in Ek and Reff
  4. We also didn't beat anyone in the last month of Mason Starting, nor did he keep us in those games... nor did Fine do much vs Rice either, nor army... soo 3 of the 5 Ws mason did nothing/little for us.. also, Morris did get screwed by the OL and again Morris was our leading passing through 4 games.. and he played 3Qs to Fines 3 and 1/4 Anyone who seems "anti-fine" is viewed as a trader basically and -1 whenever possibly here. Everyone wants Fine to be the savior and honestly the kid wasn't. He managed the game super conservatively while Morris got screwed by INTs vs SMU which 2/3 of INTs were on the WRs. I hope to God Izzy or Pearson comes in and lights it up, because it will be like usually when everyone flips from Fine to whoever the new star is. But once again, everyone loves and wants Fine to be great, but as the QB you get all the credit or all of the blame.. no if ands or buts about it. But Fine is not a locked in starter.. we only have 2 guys who have locked up a spot for next year and maybe 1 or 2 more in Wilson and McClain.. with Brooke's and Jenkins as probables.
  5. Not sure if you any idea of the issue, but could it have been a fight between the 2 players leading this?
  6. 1. Yes no stupid flags, that will kill us vs someone like Army. 2.Also, being smart on defense and getting out of this hole/ sinkhole of defense that we have been in for what seems like months since our game vs. army. 3.Also, I would like to see more K.Smith used in the slot with the FB in the back field. doing this will/should help off-set Army's good/great LBs somewhat. 4. And please, Wrs not dropping the ball 5. Also, Rotate the QBs.. Morris and Fine both are equal.. Fine a bit of a better runner, but Morris has a better passing ability with him not taking a sack and tossing the ball away. Would love to see Fine used not just as a runner, but on RPO(Run Pass Options) with him having the ability to run it or pass it.. Make Army have to gameplay and prep for both QBs. 6. Bring out some trick plays like we did vs SM with the pass to Buyers and Smiley. PS- Also, a solid last game for Keena.. If he on point, it will help our defense making Army go on long drives.
  7. Just because we bring up valid points doesn't mean you have to get upset. These are legit worries, and reason as to why Fine shouldn't be expected to start the HoD. We just think he isn't up to speed or brings the passing ability of Morris. Rotate them and play them both, but it shouldn't be 1 QB show.
  8. I know the staff is already looking at Guyton
  9. The UTSA game didn't do anything outside of the last few drives and his 80 yard run... It was all gabarge time stats, which shouldn't earn you player of the week. But our points are that Fine, only won the Freshman QB award because no one else played! That doesn't make him the best/ nor the most qualified just because he was the only freshman. Looking at the awards as well Mullens had a better season-wise because they both won Freshman QB of the year, but Mullens won Player of the week. I say this way to much on here, but everyone here and everyone that is a fan of UNT, wishes and hopes/prays to god that Fine turns this program around and makes us into another TCU (mid-major into a p5 school). But Fine doesn't and shouldn't get any passes on how he played. Morris played behind the same OL and he honestly got screwed. Morris and Fine both turned the ball over but Morris got hit with some drops and WRs didn't help either QB. But we have to hope that Fine is the least talented, and worst QB that we bring in because that means the talent level will get better. Also, Fine is someone who will rise to the challenge and fight to keep his job, unlike what people think Morris did. We can say that coaches didn't help out Fine with some plays, but Fine didn't help himself either. Fine took way to many sacks instead of just flat out tossing the ball away(which Morris does). But Fine has to learn 1 thing most of all, is just get rid of the ball. If you see a rusher just throw it into the ground at a WR, or out of bounds... 2nd and 10 is better than 2nd and 18, agreed? Yes he can't prevent every sack that is mostly on the OL, but if Fine can help on just 2 or 3 plays a game that is huge for the OL and the staff as well.
  10. Talking about Fine having to develop and having competition makes people pissed here and I have no idea. I had been saying they need to rotate the QBs since UTSA. Fine was either hurt and hiding it, or just in a freshman streak..But in 2/3 years we have to hope that Fine is the least talented on our roster, because that means we are bringing in better talent. Fine shoudn't be the locked in starter next year, he hasn't earned nor should any spot have a locked in starter besides McClain and Wilson.
  11. Vito had posted in a blog, that Goree and Robinson both could have worked there way onto the team and I believe he may have said it on the podcast(not 100% if he had), also one of the admins as well had brought it up that they would have worked their way back... Now if that means for them to be on scholarship or just be on the team, no idea.. But Vito, and admin on here had brought it
  12. I'm asking about the guy to Morris' left.. our right the other side of Mosley
  13. who is that to the right of Morris? (morris' left in the photo)
  14. Saying stuff like this will always be disliked here even though its true, but agreed as well.
  15. I was wondering/looking for Jenk, Also didn't Finny have a solid year?
  16. Your allowed to think I'm false, but how many of those yards did Fine have in garbage time? He had games vs UTSA/MTSU that he didn't do anything then would light it up in the end when the defenses played prevent or kept it in front of them. Also, we can hate on Morris but the guy was our leading passing after 3 Qs while it took fine nearly 10 Qs to just match him. Also, everyone should agree Morris will toss the ball away and not take a sack when fine takes sacks which sets us back. Also, we can agree this offense runs better when we can pass the ball, which Fine wasn't having much lucky at at times before he got injured. Also, how many of those picks for Morris were off of WR hands? he had 3 INTs vs SMU and 2 were bc of the WRs... so that alone drops Morris below Fine.
  17. Also, I like Guyton a ton.. had no idea we were in on this kid.
  18. Morris was money on Fades... I'm going to chalk it up to Fine's height and his accuracy. Morris was able at times able to drop it in and he did it to Smiley multiple times at the USM game Also, to fire GH would be to extreme... I would like to see someone like the former Tulsa OC/Texas OC brought in to help Harrell against in play-calling but these coaches were mostly all in new spots as in Ek as DC and Harrell as a play-caller
  19. Think he meant payout in terms of gifts for the players
  20. Mason is can run it better than Morris, but Morris is a better Passer.. yes Morris has thrown more INTs at times, but Morris will keep the defenses from coming up and stacking the box for Wilson. Wilson vs Army got lucky on 2/3 runs is what helped us win. They need/should rotate the QBs. Not saying just bring fine in for running plays or Morris only to pass it, but Morris will throw it away and he does have some descent speed as well.
  21. Agreed 100%.. We can all say fine did a solid job at best this season... Fine did get lucky vs Army because he should have had multiple INTs that game... He even had some great flashes like 1st drive vs MTSU, and the last 2, but between those he was terrible and so was the entire offense. Fine vs UTSA had the long run, then again at the end when UTSA was playing off... Fine was not a savior to our Season, honestly it was the defense that held tight in our Ws and Wilson getting into the Endzone
  22. My point was Fine wasn't the only fish the pick from, but yes he was the most likely choice.. But Fine had some good flashes, but he also had some very, very bad games as well. We all should hope he develops into Mullens, but we should all hope we can recruit and land a Mullens from the start.
  23. Multiple people are reporting him and Robinson both could have earned their way back onto the team in the Spring/Summer if they worked out everything needed.
  24. People have been saying it but again fine was the only true QB to get alot of playing time.. Its great that Fine had a few great plays, a few good drives, and truly even fewer great games... The place were Fine hurt us more than Morris was with the sacks. Morris will throw the ball away, and keep it from being 2nd and 16 instead of 2nd and 10.. Also, Fine had ran into a block mid-way through the season. Keena can be a world-class punter when he is 1-32 doing the job.. or when he wins the Gonza Award, till then he is a good punter, but not world class. Also, fine was lucky that game, he should have finished with atleast 3 INTs, and was aided by drops/slips by Army's DBs While everyone here loves Fine, and we can all agree he is the QB of the future hopefully, we have to hope/want that Fine will be the worst QB that we bring in and that Izzy/Pearson are hand-downs better. Not because we don't like Fine, But because it means we have better talent. Also, UNT should not name a starter at QB, make Army Prep for Fine and Morris. But if UNT, I'm going with Morris because he has proven to not take as many negitive plays, but I would rotate in Fine
