We have had #Untouchable in 2016, 2017 is #FlightCrew17... With our partnership with the Cowboys, I'm just going to say #FinishThisFlight18. Would be great to have them do a few light videos like the cowboys did but with these kids talking about why they picked UNT... Fine talking about being to small, but all the records... English talking about coming home for family, Wheeler talking about how UNT embraced him after the Florida game, etc

If this kid is like Ham-Bone.. I'll take it, I mean Ham-Bone was on the All-Freshman Team

I'm sure SD will keep it open for SDSU and the bowl game or games that they will be hosting.

This kid would be our 2nd best get if we did land him. Looks like he hasn't been around UNT in nearly a year. Also, he has been decommited for a while. Other schools have been in contact but nothing official. I'm guessing this is alot like Sigger? I would love to add this kid. He maybe even someone that we could start Day 1...

I think any time a kid goes and gets an offer while on their OV its a good sign. Him not committing when in SD, I wouldn't say we are a luck but still means we still got a chance.

He had this visit lined up weeks ago.

The reason for bowl expansion is that the cities that host have seen the economic impact when it comes to visitors and the hotel taxes, large influx of people from the schools (students, players, coaches, etc) and it helps offset the money spent by some of these cities to build new stadiums.

I know people have posted about the # of upper classman and lower and how it differs. But I think how SL and the staff are view it with these blue-shirts is in the future either 1) they will just have to enjoy a class of 15-20 kids, or 2) that they won't be here when they have to deal with it. Also, the staff has earned my trust in terms of what they have done in just 1 year. I'm sure the staff has figured out ways of getting by and ways to manage it as well. I mean a lot of people here, just before the dead period were freaking out that this staff couldn't recruit and now we may have to many guys? (Not to get to far off topic, but the 30 for 30 about "The U", Butch Davis talked about how when the football program lost scholarship they would offer to players like S.Moss a track scholarship and then let the kid walk onto the football team, with Moss playing football and running track. I'm not sure if that can be done, but that could be one way to make up for it in the future possibly? ) I'm honestly glad they are bringing in Blueshirts like Tibbs, Roberts(who are the known Blue-shirt players.) Tibbs I think can play Day 1 possibly as a rotation guy, while Roberts I think is someone we RS. With Roberts I view it as we are getting a player with a year of development a year early(if that makes sense.) Also, we are losing a lot of talent with graduations from Keena, Scott, Buyers, TT, Morris, Combs, Finney, Hood, Gray, and Davis. I would much rather burn a few scholarships from next year if it aids us this time next year when we lose Mclain, Jenks, Wheeler, Fluche, Henson, etc. Because it will mean instead of having to plug guys in then with no experience(True Freshman) at least some of these guys will have some experience, let alone a whole year in the system. Also, I think with our recent history of success at UNT, if kids are willing to come here just because of the bowl game and the APR, sale it and bring them in. Because maybe next year we don't have that pitch to use anymore and can't bring in some of these kids.

Its great they are making the rounds checking in with these guys to keep a hold of them for another week!

Late as in Mid-Break or Summer transfer?

I had posted in another thread asking this.. with Tibbs, Roberts being blue-shirts that drops us to 16.. any idea on who else is blue-shirt? Also, great add getting these guys as Blue-shirts!

24/7 has already added the Verbal Commits from today, 1-24(Parish and Tibbs). It shows we are at 18 Verbal Commits, but that includes the the CB Roberts(who is blue-shirting he said.) So that would sit us at 17, do we have any other ideas if this is the correct count or do we have some more blue-shirts? I'm only asking because it would then mean we have only 3 slots left in this class

This staff isn't big into the rating system it seems, and that they are finding kids that fit the scheme which SL has talked about. With the 6 OL that we have I think they are okay losing this kid. I'm thinking they are looking at more skilled positions and Defensive front 7 from the rest of the class.

I don't know if we got any JUCOs that are like Johnson or Hayes.. But I think with the # of scholarship that we have and with the larger number of upper-class men in the next year or 2 it would be unlikely. I'd think its more likely to get a few late qualifying HS kids as blue-shirts possibly

Hopefully they have his film up and hamilton's showing, then flashed about Ham-bone getting a Freshman all conference award...

Not sure how this helps but i'm guessing your trying to say that he is in a small town so he doesn't have much film?
