  1. Indoor Practice Facility.. Just improved recruiting, increased donor support, among other benefits
  2. Could you image a DL rotation of Hambone, English with Noviel,Tibbs, and Jaxon?
  3. My guess is that this will be a big thing for them to sale and present to people that come to the spring game. Also, with it connecting to the IPF, I would like to see improvements made to the weight room with them moving the Football Meeting rooms into the connecting area hopefully. Any idea when it is expected to be completed/ started?
  4. That is exciting to hear and I'm hoping that its filling out in a good way and not a bad way. Also, I think it will be interesting to see the OT battle in a year or 2 with Parish and Brammer. Brammer played like a TE/ extra OT on the OL it looked like in his tape. Would like to keep adding OTs with the talent like this every year.
  5. Midway has a QB that we have offed as well. http://247sports.com/player/tanner-mordecai-91436 The has alot of P5 offers as well. Baylor, Tech, IU, Mizzou just to name some. Along with the other Guard as well, plus Jaxon.
  6. Wonder how this impacts Lawson with Smart being a G
  7. Man this kid looks and reminds me of Parish, a bit thicker than Parish but can put on 30-40 lbs and would barely know
  8. Could be impressive and beefy OL with Carroll, Newman, and Morse, on top of W-Spoon. But that 600 lb squat would be impressive at NT on Defense
  9. I'm going to assume that this kid sticks at OG or C, but could be impressiving and heavy OL with Newman and Morse. Also, W-Spoon from LD Bell.
  10. I'm guessing PWO since they didn't tweet out anything about it, but he tweeted out saying he got an offer from UNT so no idea if it is PWO or scholly. Also, looks like he was visiting smaller schools like Northwestern LA according to his twitter. I'm assuming he is a 2 for 2? or would he have 3 years to play 2? No idea if you know I'm guessing we have added some HS depth but the only ones that ring a bell are Moore and Johnson. Have we added any more?
  11. I'm assuming because of guys who haven't usually played together are out of rhythm and that it's easier on defense to look good when some guys are not on the same page?
  12. Jefferson and Kelly would both be walk ons? If so, sign me up.
  13. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/1041531/5817bd22bd7520234452bce7 https://twitter.com/Big6_Chop He just tweeted we offered, and he has in his bio that he is committed to UNT but no tweet about committing from what I can see. Looks like this was a Koontz since he is the only one the staff following the kid. Also, can not find a 24/7 bio for him. But looks like he is will be completing his Sophomore year Also measures in at 5'11 180.
  14. Feeling? Do we have any idea's or is the staff hoping another Jenkins happens that doesn't go to where they signed? Also, I gotta say its good news that we haven't even offered and we have a chance at getting him, nor has he visited either.
  15. Well the good thing about Dunbar to LA, is if he goes back to his form before the injury, and the Rams somewhat turn around he will be marketed very well. Also, the new LA Rams coach saw him during his time in WAS, and is an offensive-minded coach. Goff was better out of the shot-gun as well, so that should do well for dunbar as well.
  16. I was shocked as well at what Brown was making compared to Filani. I wonder if Brown is doing a discounted price, because of his Associate HC role. Maybe the title makes him more attractive possibly for in the future? Not to bash Filani, but did he bring in an recruits? Brown landed Pearson, Johnson, and I'm sure he was busy with some of the other guys from HOU as well.
  17. His video says Jr/Sr Year... is he an early-grad? I don't see him tweeting out any offers either...
  18. I have no idea with basketball, but how quickly could they set up these games? We know football has to plan these games years in advance, but I would think its easier for basketball to get teams sooner rather than later?
  19. Would love to add him, have Rico, Guyton, White, Gray.. with Griffin, Wilson, among others in the slot... Also, the QB didn't look half bad on the placement of the throw, maybe do a 2 for 1 deal.
  20. I don't get why he would announce so late...
  21. Football is a young man game now, with a few coaches like Saban and Bill Synder upon others I'm sure... But with SL history of turning around offenses and the ability to score points would lead me to pick him over a much older, smash-mouth coach...
  22. Its plain and simple... if you could look over the resumes of the current staff vs old with no knowledge of who they are or what they have done, everyone here would pick: SL over Mac GM over TB and WB over RV. If you think that this is the same, don't do anything good old boy club you are very wrong. WB has been given more freedom to go out and spend than RV was, and that is apparent in the buyout, and that is just with WB being here less than 7 months... RV was here what around 15 years? People can say that WB and his staff have not been doing anything, but he has addressed problems on the football side (new contract for SL), improved football recruiting budget, looking at IPF with SL, heck even improving the process for people to renew tickets and get tickets for the HoD Bowl game... In basketball he has looked over the program, with them about to upgrade the locker-room and the SP and are in the process of looking towards a new SP (possibly), on top of buying out a sitting D1 coach with an impressive resume. On top of the new Soccer/Field Stadium, and removing of Fouts, its apparent that WB has been a busy man.... Time to get over RV, Mac, and TB they aren't here and WB, SL, and GM all have discussed and brought it up, but it's time to look forward.
  23. I took as, WB and the school would be updating in the short-term till they decide if they will go with a new SP or if they will redo the present day SP. Maybe they upgrade and then keep it around for graduation and other things as well, if they do decide to go with a new SP. But the last line of the blog post by BV seems to make it sound like WB would like to build a new one. This is from BV newest post (http://beta.dentonrc.com/sports/mean-green-1/2017/03/14/notebook-mccasland-plans-talk-star-forward-combs-soon-plans) “You don’t want to put tens of millions of dollars into a facility that won’t have suites or club seats,” Baker said. “We have to see if it can be renovated.” Once UNT determines whether renovating the arena is a possibility, it will assess whether it is feasible to build a venue. “We absolutely have to assess that and see where we with a new venue,” Baker said. “We have to assess and see if it is in the long-term plans and if we have support for it. If we have someone who has a strong desire to invest in a facility that would be a bench mark on our campus, that would expedite the process.” I could see it going across 35, but I have no idea where it could/would fit. I think NS brought this up during his last State of UNT message, and said something like maintaining a Parking Garage is something like 12k per spot, while a normal parking lot is like 3k to maintain. He also talked about that the current garages weren't being filled, but that was probably has to do with the it being something like $850 for a full year parking pass to the garage by the business building, and with the loads of free parking on streets next to around UNT. I'd love to see more parking garages, but they want to move the parking edges of campus.
  24. I'd wonder, where would it be if/when they replace the Superpit? Maybe across the street with it being by the Rec and PEB maybe, but no idea because of the fields and tennis courts?
  25. Heck have Avery to tweet at LeBanc and English, or even Cooley (if it is allowed).. Catching the eye of them as well may help for them to pass it along to the coaches as well
