So then last years ranking of 11th was viewed completely wrong by everyone saying we could not recruit... Because our average ranking was better than 5 other schools (with 2 schools ahead of us having lower averages), along with it being .8 behind LAT (which we landed more 3* than LAT as well) which would have put us at 9th in the conference.. If you go by average we beat Navy all the way up at 88, and they were a ranked team!

I'm not wanting to argue it... I literally only posted that we are 5th LOL... I never said anything about the Avg. of the recruits... But since we are on the topic of that, last year we finished 11th in C-USA in overall recruiting rankings per 24/7, but yet we beat out 5 other schools.. by Average Score we would have ranked 9th with us being .8 behind LAT (which signed 1 less 3* than we did)... Meanwhile you see someone like UTSA that sees a boost in Avg. recruit score with the Denton Ryan kid who never made it to campus (from what was last reported). Averages can be shewed, just like the rankings but that is why i said we are ranked 5th right now because it can change... The average is so skewed that if you do the class calculator and just add Gage alone it takes the class up to 85.37 from 76.26 that is 9.11 alone... What is funny is that King is a .7965 rated 2* while LeBlance is a .7999 rated 3*... a .034 difference between them.. Also, to give a bit more insight into how close King is to being a 3*, UTSA signed a QB to there 2017 class who is a 3* and his rating was a .7973.. a difference of .008 Also, King has a better offer list than LeBlanc too... Better yet according to 24/7 Pearson (UNT 2017 signee) had multiple offers outside of UNT (Wyoming, SFA, McNesse State, I-Ward) and was rated as .7826 while the UTSA kid (Rivers) had no other offers (according to 24/7) and was again ranked as a 3* at .7973 which again shows how flawed and bias some of these ranking sites can be.

Don't get it... If things like this are so important then why not take a half day or take a long lunch????

How is presenting facts that we are the 5th ranked class right now devalue the other schools???

Position-wise I wanna see us go get another pass-rusher at the (Jack even if it's been filled) because you can't have enough pass rushers. But give me Rucker, Dove, Gibbs.

Does not fit the narrative about UNT is why they discount the facts... Also, I have never fought over the ratings of recruits before that is brought.

My guess is donor support in terms of big time donors? Also, maybe/hopefully they have done more improvements than planned

Fine has struggled.. and it will likely continue.. it's not about IF, it's about WHEN And I would not be surprised, if Quinn was the #2.. but Izzy is has traits that are more appealing than Quinn.

I know most won't like it, but give me 6-6... that should mean another bowl game, and 2 more weeks of practice as well. Show the state HS coaches things are changing here in denton.

He is only running out of time for the 1st snap of the year.. Fine won't stay healthy and Quinn has gone from nothing to something without ever playing in a game while Izzy has played in games. SL and GH are not going to block Izzy if he shows promise and talent, while Fine struggles.. they had a quick leash last year and it should be the same this year.

People may not call last year a success but to me it was. Recovering from the Portland State blowout was huge in terms of player confidence and fan support. yes it was not a winning year but we got to a bowl, which would have been a success to anyone before the year. It will take time to into the top half.. National pollls don't look over the complete results.. we got blown out by Portland State which set us back ALOT. We go out and have a solid year 6-8 wins) and I bet we see a solid jump

Yes, watch Last Chance U on Netflix lol Those 2 guys have been healthier than Izzy and had more time in the offense than Izzy.. they should have a leg up on him, the question is does Izzy keep progressing and impressing

SL and GH needed arms from practice. O'Hara they thought could develop but hasn't shown anything. Am I missing anyone but isn't Quinn the only QB on the roster from before SL.. Morris, Fine, Cason, O'Hara all came under The new staff. There was a major need at QB depth. It has worked out for Cam Newton.. just saying

O'Hara likely was just another arm that they saw could possibly get us something or maybe it was get O'Hara and you get Jackson, we don't know.. Izzy was a 3* recruit with looks from Baylor... Give me Izzy any day over O'Hara

We have to take into account as well, they lost multiple guys who never made it campus in that first class.. (Haynes, Johnson, The DB Turner, Hoston). With the depth of the roster still not being at 85, I'm guessing that SL and the staff took "safer" bets on who would make it to campus.
