What if they were and we had a video of NS and them flying on the private plan up to Nike to pick them up right before game day???

Watch it on Youtube and the team site.. Give them the hits and hopefully things like this will continue to be done! LOL and hopefully enough Youtube views and they can get some $, even if its a few cents...

WB, SL, Gmac are not the old guard of RV, TB and Dmac like you and other think... These are guys that have been trending up and people that are young... And yes the sample sizes are small but you and others are acting like it has been set in stone that WB is just like RV because he hasn't put out the master plan yet, the man hasn't even been here 1 year yet! NS has more confidence in WB than in RV, and that is why he bought RV out... NS is paying for the sushi place on the square basically and for him to go home... WB has improved the facilities in terms of redoing the tennis courts with plans for more, approved a new Soccer/Track stadium, int he works for an IPF all in less than 1 year, on top of doing improvements to the athletic complex and offices, among other things that he has done. You and others act like SL is a crap recruiter and it has been proven that the recruiting sites are not correct... SL has been here for what 16 months, and he took over a program that was on life-support.. SL turned a team that under mac got DESTROYED by Portland State, and yes you can say the WSU game as well but again it was the BIGGEST BLOW OUT ever... SL changed the culture of that team and brought in a staff that got basically the same group of guys to a bowl game and damn near won it Gmac has yet to play a game but has gotten great reviews just like SL did from previous coaches he worked with and national media... He has brought in solid recruits as well... Again.... I think darn near every single person on here would say we are in a better position today under WB/SL/Gmac than in the past under RV/Mac/TB.. Yes you can say that SL was an RV guy, but he never coached a game under him, and he was likely on the way out as well The Russians typed that, not him...

I don't think it helps or hurts any 18 year old because they are just focused on where they wanna go and play football... Not till they are older does it really become something they would think about... The benefit is that that possibly down the line you have more talent that is local to pick from...

The ratings have changed on 24/7 some (but nothing major) because the class grade went up some, and the average for recruit went up as well... The changes weren't major and no idea to who, but I think the man change was to the RB commit (not sure)

Again the plan is going to be released, its not like WB has it hidden and is going to release it on a rainy day as a way to increase how he is viewed on GMG.com... Again, a strategic plan is nice for us but isn't going to make the random joe or jane alumni that does not care for UNT to come buy tickets, nor is the big issues of no uniform release (yet).. The strategic plan is in the process and will be released, but we can already see that this is not the same admin with the buyout, new contracts, and the IPF.. It was along the lines of the first one, i'm still scrolling through the unt fan recruiting twitter because they retweeted it... No one would argue that the uniforms and that would have kept up excitement and that it would keep unt football on peoples minds.. Yes this admin has missed chances to do this during the dead of the spring and and summer, I have been saying that they should have been doing things for months as a way to reach out to fans/students/ and alumni... Them doing this so late (Uniform release) has lead to them likely losing some $ as well when it comes to possibly selling new shirt designs as well, but again its likely the uniforms aren't even on campus yet because they are still just now getting in gear.

Exactly that they have seen the designs and have seen them...

People are not going to buy tickets, just because a new uniform... Connor Howard tweeted about the new unis months ago when we were told they would have new uniforms...

Great video. 1 thing I wish they would have added was them talking about why they picked UNT, and how UNT has changed them and as a campus as well during there time here

A 1 year is not handcuffing this program, we see other colleges that have coaches extended out to 5,6 or more years in some cases.. It is safe to say that with SL that he is going to here for at least 2 or 3 more even if the thing goes down hill, but I doubt that happens, and if he keep trending up he is out in that time with bigger programs more than willing to buy him out... Handcuffing a program is multiple bad contracts and buyouts... Again, WB re-did SL contract because of how poorly it was put together by RV that has been reported and said by WB to Vito, the whole SL going else where is not proven but is something that could happen down the road... With that being said if it does happen, I would like to hope that WB contract to SL is better for UNT in terms of buyout etc. compared to the SL/RV contract. Dmac, RV, etc are handcuffs to the program... NOT SL, Gmac, WB (yet)... But again EVERYONE should agree that SL/Gmac/WB are light years ahead of Dmac/TB/RV I think the thing that is interesting is that WB and NS put into the contract about them being present... You have to wonder, are they willing to be here long term and pass over other potential openings or was this something put in by SL camp to make him more affordable if they leave?

We have no idea if SL was wanted or if he wasn't, nor will we ever find out either but there is a reason as to why he got a 1-year extension basically.. WB even told Vito it in an article that BV wrote, it was to re-work and redo SL entire contract... WB and SL threw away the one he did with RV, and did it over... Again, we have no idea if other schools came around talking to SL or even SL agent, and we will never know! The point is SL did alot with very little, and showed the ability to find little known guys and develop them on the field and on the coaching staff.. SL has had 4 coaches picked from his staff go to P5 schools, and another that was either ideals didn't match/performance/ wanted to move on instead of staying so long at 1 place in Perry... He had a roster that was not to his styles in terms of offense or defense and got them to a bowl, he restored some confidence in the players that were here for the Portland State blow out.. SL inherted a program that was sinking faster than ever imaged, and has turned it around and given hope to fans, students, and alumni. We can compare SL and Dmac, but SL is trending up and Dmac was not someone who was going to be hired away by a P5..

I do agree that the sooner the better, but again... Get this stuff right the first time... Who knows, but maybe that thing at Noon in 2 and a half weeks is when they will be released??

True 1st world problems when we are on here complaining that we have not seen new uniforms or the Master plan, yet... The players have seen the uniforms, and likely recruits.... Is them showing off new uniforms going to make anyone here buy extra tickets, honest question??? The Master plan is something that has been in the works for a while and likely something that WB wants to make sure that it is up to date. Again, we do not need to rush this like the Soccer/Track stadium... Get it right the first time.. Yes it would have been great to do multiple things like a uni release, master plan release, IPF release, etc during the slow times and are chances for the AD Office to show progress and maybe even make extra $... But again, it is critical to get the information right the first time, and have it stay the same... Hell make it so the plan is something that can be followed even after WB leave and its not something that has to be re-worked completely like some of the things RV left WB to rework.

Interesting because it moved the class up 20 spots and increased the average recruit from 76.26 to 77.67... UNT is also getting screwed on the King and Bean ratings as well... King is less than .007 away from a 3-star and we have Bean bounce back and forth from a 2-star to a 3 and back...

I have no idea if it has been brought up but English is up and walking around on the foot. It's in a soft walking case.. no idea how long it will be like that but he was walking, standing, and putting weight on it.. also to Harry's point about him staying in shape in terms of conditioning.. I think it will be a set back, but with the depth of the DL it should allow him to be worked in slowly/limited amount and not have to come back day one and play 50-60 snaps.

I do agree I would like to see these things... WB has been here a year and you would think it's enough time thinking big picture.. If we think back to the year, he got here just 2-3 weeks before football season, so he had to fix things with that and along get his staff together (officially), and then he also had to deal with the Athletic Department Review as well. During this time WB also said we would get an IPF and they have expanded it from an IPF to more offices/weight room, etc. He also had to deal with evaluating and giving all these coaches a chance.. We can debate if he should have kept Bedford but again, WB didn't extend him and WB is a basketball guy with basketball guys under him (Mosley). He's reworked SL contract, extended the soccer coach, Bought out and signed GMac. Yes, after about spring break the calendar is bare but this is likely when the real work started on the master plan for the entire department and the development of the IPF expansion an the soccer/track. Yes the rollout of the soccer/track was bad because it was already supposed to be started and completed I believe this fall. With the problems of the Soccer stadium it has likely led to WB being even more conservative in terms of releasing information. Its not like RV or Hank really left WB a lot of stuff completed, it's like WB came in and had to rework the entire thing. Shifting people around, fixing issues that could be addressed and evaluating.

Im going to assume that the 17 are still present at UNT, but are now limited with the contact that they have?

English still has bother 3 (most likely 4, if he wants) with the hardship transfer for him training home because of his dad. Now a real questions is, who fills in at that back up DT/NG spot?? Does this move Young back? Does this mean that one of the freshman is likely to play this year instead of RSing?

I do agree tiny things like this should be and can be fixed easily.. These tiny errors aren't major things but they add up and don't show an organization that is up to date. I can understand if this was an error of just a few weeks ago, but it has been a year.

Our QBs in past years looked like storm troopers in them.. with the lack of completions since they couldn't hit the target..

Friday I'll see if I can get a release date.. I'll be back up there working with some people in the AD office.. No promises, but I'll ask the people I know.
