I know they have bins set up in the union by the Wells Fargo, but I would think they will have something for donations at the game. It maybe a last minute announcement though, so you could bring stuff and then if nothing at the game go to the union and donate.

Zac got his dream job of playing and now working in the NFL, yes it stinks but we can not deny the differences between working for the NFL and working at UNT. also, him working as a scout and on player evaluations. Hopefully this can lead to us having someone (on the NFL evaluation inside) that can tell the coaching staff what guys need to improve on for them to go to the next level, and it doesn't hurt having an Alumni that likely be willing to toss out names of UNT players if they are worthy of being looked at. Also, congratulations as always to Zac and this is something that can be pointed at for recruits as well.

I'm sure that we would lose some fans, but I'm sure would pick up fans as well if Lamar did come up and we did a ESPN2 game on a Thursday. The call in and that would be great for them to get $ to help recover and it would put a lot of light in the situation at Lamar a smaller school in need of help. Not to get away from The situations down there but it would be a big boost in terms of people being aware about UNT/Lamar, Good PR as well which would go likely a long way in the state in terms of making people aware of UNT and how we are viewed (won't be that school with losing history, would be that school that helped Lamar and SE Texas)

I'm pretty sure UHs community could get behind a game, just like they would if the Astros are playing at home Which is being considered by the MLB for the Astros to return home this weekend

Would wonder if they would play it at the end of the year like UH/UTSA has discussed..

I hope the game does as well, and I agree yall at Lamar have had hard the past week. With lack of practices, flooding and players having their families on their mind as well while being off at school can be tough. Hopefully our comments (mine included) about the coach doesn't come off as rude or anything, most of us (likely all of us outside of you) haven't seen/heard from him before. Nor do any of us likely know anything about him. Agreed, the money game is critical and most likely even more needed now than before (sorry, not to be a dig but just stating about possible damages to university?). I'd like to hope UNT/Lamar can work out something in terms of getting the team up to DFW (if they want that) before the game for y'all to just get out of the rain and some solid practice time. I'm hoping that this isn't a game that is ruins lamars complete season or damaging the young man y'all have either. Hope you and others can make it, if y'all are planning on coming because I know UNT would be more than welcoming and most likely most/all tailgaters as well. Stay safe my friend! That may happen, but again it's likely to "late" for that switch to happen.. The booking of hotels for the team (UTSA), packing of equipment and transportation, and the times likely wouldn't be pleased with the lack of game prep since both have planned for someone up till whenever it would be announced.

Awesome to hear.. had 2 people in my family call up yesterday and buy season tickets as well and they said it was easy as well...

Offering the 50% now and limiting it is why is done now, and not earlier in the summer when people are willing buy season tickets and pay the full-price... You are just getting to get butts in seats.. A empty seat will never buy popcorn, soda, beer, etc... just getting 1 person in is worth it... Cost them 0 bucks to email/tweet/etc... Yes it sucks for the fans that have paid the full-price, etc. but again its about getting butts in the seats...

Other schools have done what ben has talked about... While they didn't have huge amounts of success doing something like what UT did last year would be nice, or even what OU did with that QB who is a TE now in the NFL (Bell?)

Yes Beaumont is drivable but the storm (as posted) will be hitting them on Thursday... that is why we are thinking they could try and delay the game I would think its that

Gotta think, Lamar likely can't pass up the paycheck from the game after this storm.. The question is, do they get it (the check) after week 1 or week 7? We need the game in WK 1 more than they do.. To them, how do you make it worth it? Honestly we need the game WK1 really bad...
