do we know what this kids status is? Has solid tape for a CB and is physical as well. He was here on an official visit so it can’t be as a Blueshirt.. which makes me wonder, why another DB over Brown potentially if he is a signee and not a PWO. Here is Millard’s tape.. no 24/7 profile either. http://www.maxpreps.com/m/career/default.aspx?careerid=666caccd-25f7-e411-bef0-a0369f3c1b4c

In a soft cast, and was at the doctors today.

Just guessing. @TheReal_jayD has said that Redfearn is a Blue-shirt, and Carroll is in limbo. Vito had Carroll under Blue-shirt recently in a article. Cade I put as a Blueshirt since he will eventually be on scholarship (I assume) potentially down the road. I'm assuming as the last signee? Thanks, adding Do you know about Warren Cotlong, I saw that he could said he was coming to UNT from Texas Wesleyan

Doing this so that if we want to refer back in the future we can see who was as we view it on scholarship, blue-shirted, or a PWO. Post links to information if we find any more and I'm sure we will for PWO, or other Scholarship players Signees: (19) + awaiting what Mooney status is. Alex Morris Reggie Williams Jyaire Shorter Kevyon Davis Tim Faison Austin Ogunmakin Derrick Shaw Kason Martin Deandre Torrey Jason Bean Jaxon Gibbs Larry Nixon Dayton LeBlanc Jordan Hunt Keelan Crosby Darrian McMillian Cole Brown Thomas Preston Josh Sa’afi Ethan Mooney PWO (4) + Warren Cotlong status. Cobe Craft (QB, Fossil Ridge Chris Beckham (OL, LD Bell) James Bagnell (OL, Flour Bluff) Former Rice Commit Cole Mccrary (LB, Woodrow Wilson) Warren Cotlong (?) Blueshirts (3) Daizion Carroll (OL, Waco Midway) Jordan Redfearn (OL/DL, Aubrey) Other Cade Fennegan (Mission Trip) (QB, Woodrow Willson) will be back for 2020.

https://247sports.com/Player/Cobe-Craft-46049259 Passed for 2523 35 TDs, Ran for 823 and 5 TDs Looks like he is likely a PWO, its also on his parents twitter it looks like saying he was 6A All-State QB? I’m assuming this is another Dual Threat QB bound to move to the slot, or at worst he is another Mitch Cason QB.

Should also factor in.. LeBlanc who was a 3* orginally, and Nixon was for most of the season as well.. Nixon is .0001 away from a 3* as well.

Does it matter? With how we (fans) would like to see the kids potentially positioned or developed? -
I totally agree, and you don’t take it away from shorter and it depends on Morris. His only other active offer was Texas State.. Could we have potentially offered him a Blueshirt and added Brown? We will never know, but we were handicapped in terms of signings after some the scholarships we gave out. (I won’t get into a long rant but the HS OL left a lot to be desired and in my opinion the PWO from rice is a better get because of his other G5 offer and Crosby didn’t seem to have much of a following and could have been another Blueshirt if done correctly.) Brown may have been a project, but the kid was viewed as aP5 talent potentially and very impressive tape for his size. The thing is, we will always another recruit we like once all the spaces are filled, and that’s what happened here.

Who knows. I personally would like to see Gibbs at CB because of his size and willingness to tackle, K. Davis at Rover because of his size and physicality, Morris at SS because of his ability to play the front 7 in HS and his covering ability and Williams at FS because of his size and coverage skills. The question is then, what happens to T. Davis? K. Davis could be a nice replacement for EJ but we are asking him to put on 20-30 LBs in the next year if he RS. -
Watching his tape, you could see he was a very talented kid. He has impressive size, quickness for a DL, and held a P5 offer at one time. Yes he got a bump (likely) for picking SMU over UNT, but Shaw is still a 3* since he committed to UNT. The point is, if SMU offered a present day scholarship and we offered one in a few months (Blueshirt) it hurts because he is someone that could have played a critical role likely in a year or 2.

We had around 5 BLue shirts from last year. Reynolds, Weatherspoon, Zac Williams (was reportly offered a scholarship), Kensworthy, among others to go with Moses and Hall, the late summer JUCO transfers. I’ll try to find the exact list on here, but we had 20 scholarships for last years class, 3 of the 20 signees didn’t make it (J.King and Tibbs) and the thing with the Cal Fullerton Punter. 3 of the blueshirts were moved up, with us leaving 3 names I had above as BS. I would say we are likely still looking at a 20 scholarship class (JD reported before/around shorter signing that we had 4 more scholarships left). We don’t know about Carroll, JD thinks he is out but Vito posted an article that had Carroll under the Blueshirt section. Redfearn is Blueshirting, similar to Weatherspoons situation with the injury.

Interesting that UNT offered an unofficial visit, but SMU offered an official visit according to the 24/7 article.. if that’s why he picked to visit SMU over UNT, we need to reconsider how we go after talented DL. Kid is a 3* at .8299 as well (according to the SMU article that Harry posted).
-
Conference, impact players to the next level, also having the kid come to campus compared to a in home visit and text/calls is a big advantage.
-
Williams, Davis, and Gibbs.. 2 of them only had Illinois. Not to be that guy, but we have only landed 1 recruit with multiple P5 offers.. others are in our conference are getting multiple kids with multiple P5 offers

Vito just wrote that Morris said he will be staying at Safety now, instead of the Rivals article that said he would be an LB... -
I was talking about McClain in need of a major Pro-Day...
-
It’s likely something that isn’t even brought up and kids are not aware of if they are not local kids.
-
Not just LT, but the top 6-7 in the conference have added multiple P5 talented kids that are .85+ just look at MTSU.
-
Another thing SMU can pitch that we can’t is the draft prospects. Sutton is a top pick, and Lawyer (think that’s how it’s spelt) the DL will be another pick ontop of other talent that have produced such as the DL Hunt that plays for the Bengals. UNT needs to be highlighting the DL rotation and how he would slot in with his size (likely as a 2/3) team DT depending on how they redo the DL groups and English’s recovery.

The question is going to be, can they get enough weight on to the Safety’s turned LB? K. Davis I believe was listed at 200 lb on his signing tweet, which I would assume is as heavy or heavier than T. Davis. Morris is listed at 188 on 24/7 so hopefully he can be at 200 after summer workouts/leading into fall camp. This defense is in need of gaining a healthy amount of weight. -

I think an interesting to watch is that Rover spot.. T.Davis is lighter than K.Davis so maybe they are trying to push K.Davis (since he is at 200 lb, I believe) to an MLB spot similar to EJ/BG? Gibbs I would love to have at CB because of his height, but we saw how McClain struggled in Man to Man at times and I believe that SS spot is more of a coverage role usually vs TEs, and Gibbs also has solid tackling ability (believe he had some crazy tackles # that @GMG24 said was like 160?) If Gibbs did end up at CB, Morris would be another solid CB/SS combo because he has solid hands (his WR tape) and the staff is looking at him (according to Morris) as an OLB. Either way the Rover spot is a real place of interest with both Davis’ and Morris potentially. -

According to 24/7 we have 5 Safety’s.. 4 of them may not even play there, Williams seems to be the most likely to stick at S. @GMG24 has said Gibbs could end up on offense, Davis is a OLB (no idea if this a Jack or Rover spot) and Morris has said he is a OLB as well. Then we have to accouna for Crosby as well. Id love to see Williams as FS, Gibbs at the SS because he can play the run and pass, Davis at the Rover because he has solid size, with Crosby at CB -
‘18 OT James Bagnell - Flour Bluff
BTG_Fan1 replied to AustinFromUNT's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Would love to add a kid like him on the DL just because of his size. Our DL got pushed around by FAU/Troy among others and adding 2 or 3 big guys who can just set anchor and fill 1 or 2 running lanes and take up multiple blockers is much needed to keep OL off our lighter/quicker LBs
