    SL in his interview said only 3 guys enrolled early.. Saafi, McMillian, and Kason.. but yet Torrey and LeBlanc are here too?

    Morris started game 1, was shaky and got replaced.. he had more passing yards, TDs in 3 Qtrs than Fine did in something like 3 entire games, nearly 4 entire games.. Morris also had 3 INTs vs SMU, with 2 of the 3 being because of the WRs.. Morris also came in and got us the 5th win to go to the bowl game and nearly beat Army in the HOD.. but SL pulled Morris to quick, because Morris settled down once he got the job and played at the end of the year. Fine and Bussy were viewed as players who would come in and play.. none of these defensive players have a clear position locked up, nor are they likely to compete for a starting spot. None of the offensive players should play Day1 besides Preston or Torrey. Torrey will have be a rotational back likely, and Preston should be our next Henson. This class will struggle to find the field year 1 because they are in positions that we have experience, even if it is bad experience.. We have seen this staff stick with players having bad experience with Preston playing the entire year, Brooks getting burned for weeks, and Jenkins getting ate alive in the Bowl game... DB has 1 opening, McClains spot with Brooks/Hall/Muhammad/Davis/Preston returning.. The LBs have 1 opening.. The OL prospect will be RS, The QBs will be RS, the WRs will be RS...

    He maybe better than White and a Shorter, but White and Shorter are long term options (4 and 4+ years) for both players. But we have no idea, we should he recruiting transfers on the defensive side of the ball to help this offense. We have 2 years of Fine left and need to be improving the defense to build on our success and we have no idea if the next QB can do what Fine has done. He would also take up another Scholarship, ontop of Lawrence likely getting a scholarship as well since he is Walkon still. lol

    Have to factor in, he would likely eat into playing time for White and Shorter... I get that a rotation would be used, but I don’t know if you wanna limit/handicap them just yet.

    What is worrisome is the 4 Safety’s, but with 2 of them potentially moving (Gibbs and Crosby have been told they are ATH, not safeties like Williams and Morris).. is that we had T.Davis play Rover last year, with Preston (who left a lot to be desired) coming back as well. What is worrisome is that Siggers was viewed as the largest/most physical of the RBs with him potentially being the “power” back Have to agree, it’s also very questionable if Siggers practiced the entire year as a RB then they all of sudden are moving him. I would assume they didn’t do that, but no idea.

    Rice went 1-11 and lost their best commit to a PWO, UTEP is 0-12 how many are committing to them because we just beat them out on the Rice decommit. Marshall lands multiple SEC WRs, FIU multiple 4* DTs.. but yet it’s difficult to find kids to come to UNT because we went 9-5...?? FAU didn’t have that problem with even less slots and they still beat us lol. You realize that it maybe easier to pitch a kid on coming in and playing on a 1-11 team, but don’t kids like to win? CUSA had a great year recruiting this season...we had an outstanding year by our standards and conference standards of years ago, but today’s class was crumbs compared to others in our conference did today.

    Hood, the Grad Transfer DT from KSU and Alex Morris, the QB.. both came in as plug and play players.. They came in and played roles that got this team to a bowl game. Fine and Bussy are players who came in and had an impact, even if limited. That is why the 1st class is viewed as the best of the classes so far. They came in and had impacts from the very first game. This current class will struggle to field more that 4 or 5 consist starters for the next couple-few years.

    Plug and play guys aren’t needed? You must not have watched SMU, Troy, FAUx2, Army (when the defense couldn’t stop anything)... The OL needs guys.. The RB is far from set, Nic Smith looked good vs Rice but struggled in other games.. The defense was terrible this past year and every position should be up for grabs.. We need a Plug and play kicker.. Zac Williams we don’t know what we have, the transfer/coaches son kicked vs TCU and never again.. Better yet, our 2nd highest recruit from last years class just RSed and spent the year from what we can tell as an RB, now to be changing sides of the ball to the Rover spot after we recruited 5 Safety’s in this years class to go with T. Davis from last years.. We also lost another DL in TonyK, when we have been in need of more depth.. We lost 3 DL, and we pick up 3 or 4 depending on McMillian, meaning depth wasn’t increased. We needed more depth along the DL, and needed to increase the DT depth and it has declined from the looks of it.. We have multiple areas that needed plug and play guys, and every program does.. Our best bet of a Plug and Play is a 2* OL in Preston, 2* McMillian or 3* 225 LB (would be OLB Jack if it’s his spot) in Fiason that won’t be here till Summer, so hopefully he can qualify. Meanwhile, FIU adds 2 4* DTs, LT adds a .85+ P5 decommit WR, Marshall adds 2 WRs with multiple SEC offers (Bama, Auburn, UF), the list goes on..

    Look at the # of impact and plug and play players the first class had.. Jenkins, Wheeler, Hambone, Hood, Baukman, Fine, Rico, Henson, Morris, Lawrence... the new likely Starting RB Nic Smith This class doesn’t seem to have multiple plug in players.. which is a huge disappointment with the needs in the DL/LB group. We lost McClain and have a huge need at Rover and RT/RG.. The most likely is Preston, and either McMillian or Faison, even then we have no idea..

    Do we know which LB is Faison likely spot? I’m assuming he would challenge BG or possibly be the Jack is McMillian isn’t? Shaw is the most likely I think. A slightly heavier Hambone!

    Siggers is moving to defense as well.. with us losing TonyK, Brown passing on UNT is even bigger.

    How SL talked in his interview it was seemed like they take a few less now to add more players next year, but I only saw a 2:00 clip and he said next year that they should be around 22-23 next year..

    I have to agree. The kids at the top of our class are solid additions (all the 3* I absolutely love)... but the classes ahead of us were very impressive.

    I have to agree, I love most of the players in this class, then there are 2/3 offers that I’m wondering why?

    UNT came in 9th out of 12. UTSA came in 7th, SMU was 8th.. UNT talk was around the 20 minute point.     Saafi should be a DL, with McMillian likely being the Jack, I would hope. McMillian is the same size as Wheeler which I was shocked Wheeler was recruited at 255, he looked lighter than that.

    100% agreed.. If you had given me this class with # of 3* and average I would have likely taken it and been happy before the season. Now seeing what other CUSA programs did and some of the MAJOR additions they made, it’s kind of worrisome. I love the additions, but don’t see a major plug and play player in this class, or at least yet. Hopefully we can get 1 or 2 late JUCO adds like we have in the past with Hall, or Jenkins.
