  1. I've seen them do literally everything you mentioned in the last 5 years or so, even before this AD. They're trying. At the end of the day, there's no magic bullet. The magicest bullet is winning consistently. Things are certainly trending up. Just keep winning.
  2. Passing yardage has dropped off significantly since the first few games and the offense has just felt a little clunky lately. I can see why they’re a little frustrated.
  3. If you need bulletin board material for this game, it’s going to be a long day.
  4. I think uniform options are one of those things that, exclusive of the blue bloods, hurts more if you don’t have the options than it helps.
  5. Someone in the coaches offices must think uniforms are pretty important since this is the first thing you see when you walk in their offices. link
  6. I don't buy that the city of Denton hasn't bought in (sure, there could be more). If you factor in season tickets and sponsorship revenue from Denton businesses/residents with owners who have no real tie to UNT except for living/working in Denton, I bet you'd be surprised how much Denton money is flowing into UNT even though those ties don't exist. I can think of several lawyers and other Denton business owners who buy club seats even (and not the cheap ones) with ties to UT, A&M, SMU, etc. I think the biggest issue for UNT is the 100K alums in DFW who aren't making the trek to Denton on game days.
  7. I guess I am in the minority, but I love this look!
  8. I think you throw a flag for taunting opponents and let each coach police their own celebrations.
  9. But why? Who did they hurt by doing that?
  10. I'm annoyed that things like this are even a penalty. I'm fine with penalizing if they're taunting in an opponent's face, but come on... Let players have some fun!
  11. In addition to sustained success on the field... 9,000 more season tickets (let's get to half the building sold in season tickets) 2,800 more MGSF donors (let's get to 5,000 total) $2.2M more MGSF dollars (let's get to $5M total) I feel like these are the financial numbers that will make us attractive when the conversation about moving up starts.
  12. Curious why you say this... Have you seen practice to see their development? Considering they haven’t really had that much PT, I’m not sure how anyone could know about their development. Outside of the weekly QB competition they post about, I feel like we hardly see anything about the backups.
  13. If Seth is interested in seeing what his options are after this season, what's his incentive to sign now?
  14. I like that fans can get a taste of sitting on the sideline without having to be a MGSF donor. Those become clients who you can call and talk to about upgrading and moving over. To me, that's the conversation that would grow loyalty and make fans feel important versus just doing a money grab to get an extra 25 bucks. There are a ton of seats available in already-existing donor sections. Let's sell those and then we can talk about expanding donor sections. That side of the stadium already consistently struggles with sales. Why make it more expensive? And just because 25 bucks is not a big deal to you doesn't mean it's not a big deal to someone.
  15. I don't really think we're there yet. If anything, I think you just drive those ticket buyers around the corner to the endzone seats. Let's sell out the current donor seats before we start expanding the donor sections, and then I'm all for it.
  16. So FCS 2.0. Got it. I actually think this is exactly what the P5s hope happens.
  17. Isn't this what everyone left when they wanted to be elevated from FCS to FBS?
  18. Fixed it. College football has an attendance issue that has been well-documented over the last few years. CBS Sports- Overall Yahoo Sports- Overall Idaho Statesman- Boise State CBS Sports- Alabama Students The Seattle Times- USC
  19. Comparing this game to UNT's is comparing apples to oranges in a lot of different ways. Arkansas playing a game in Little Rock is a novelty event for their fans, just to lay out one key difference.
  20. Are you willing to accept that their called attendances over 20K were real numbers of butts in seats?
  21. You guys have to remember that those of us who visit this board are bought in. We see the improvement and are excited about the prospect of what this program can be. However, many of the fans who help fill Apogee will be more reactionary to success than visionary in anticipating success. This stuff takes time. This fan base is still learning. Can you really blame them? How awful was this program just a few years back?
  22. So this is an article about a tweet? No followup with WB or anything? Just slapped the tweet and a quote from Littrell's post game comments together and called it an article?
  23. Ahh, yes. I’m sure yelling at the attendant making minimum wage is going to help them get it fixed...
  24. With Heupel as the head coach, I would expect the defense to continue sliding moving forward.
  25. The difference in the two scenarios is that when you're the 16th or 17th best team in the country you haven't had as great of a year as the 4th or 5th best team. You also aren't leaving an undefeated team out of the playoffs. If your argument is "we're the 16th best team in the country but you said we're 17," I don't fee that bad for you that you got left out.
