If you're required to check these boxes, shouldn't this board just cease operations? There would be a pretty short list of people left if you need to fall into one of theses categories to speak about and have an opinion about sports. It's just sports, not rocket science or curing cancer.

And UNT was riding a lot of momentum for their final home game towards a potential conference championship/bowl run? That attendance had more to do with UNT's season performance than playing against Army.

I guarantee you that winning conference championships is important to the coaches/players. It helps build up your program and coaching reputation, and that helps in recruiting/national regard. I also agree that it doesn't effect the bowl situation very much.

You know what's interesting to me is that this is year 3 of the SL era at UNT. He got here right before a report came out laying out things this department had not done to truly commit to athletics (a majority on this board agreed with it, by the way). This team is 3 years removed from a blowout loss at home against FCS Portland State and a 1-11 record. You can count me in the group impressed with what SL has done in the time he's been in Denton. Get this next recruiting class locked in, a practice facility, and I think this program is set for a good run for a while. If anything, the disappointment I think many fans are feeling is a result of the product this staff has put on the field in such a short period of time.

Their website says visiting team player pass list is gate 13-A, NE Corner of Legion field. Typically that’s where they have visiting team will call too.

I see what you’re saying, but I don’t think a practice or two in a little rain is going to drastically increase their risk of injury.

They could also get injured walking out the front door. They should probably just stay in their dorm rooms until the coaches pick them up on game day.

Legally, I agree with this statement. Practically, this is far from the truth. Coaches matter, as do those relationships, styles of play, etc. But you’re okay with coaches who aren’t? My issue is there’s a higher standard for players than there is coaches.

I've seen them do literally everything you mentioned in the last 5 years or so, even before this AD. They're trying. At the end of the day, there's no magic bullet. The magicest bullet is winning consistently. Things are certainly trending up. Just keep winning.

Passing yardage has dropped off significantly since the first few games and the offense has just felt a little clunky lately. I can see why they’re a little frustrated.

If you need bulletin board material for this game, it’s going to be a long day.

I think uniform options are one of those things that, exclusive of the blue bloods, hurts more if you don’t have the options than it helps.
