  1. Stats that tell the story of the game, in my opinion: 1- 244 yards | Wyoming’s total offense 2- 69 yards | Wyoming’s yards rushing 4- 4-4 | UNT’s 4th Down efficiency 5- 0 | turnovers for either team AND Wyoming points in the second half 6- 4-6 | Wyoming 2nd half possessions that ended in 3 and outs; 1 of the other two was 4 plays 7- 120 | Porter’s rushing yardage in his first career staft
  2. 5 turnovers and a punt return will do that to you
  3. After two disasters early, TCU is starting to play like we would expect against SMU.
  4. TCU trying to give away this game
  5. The 3-3-5 may be a trash defense without stud LB’s, but that game isn’t the one to “prove it.” Statistically those two teams were basically even. I watched the game, and I would not say Illinois “ran through” the Nebraska defense.
  6. I think this is brilliant. It kind of reminds me of how independent baseball teams used to pass a hat to tip players when they hit home runs.
  7. Our students do pretty much have their own entrance, restrooms, and concessions. Plus the hill is mostly students, so there’s a “landing” welcoming students to the game. Our students have it pretty easy compared to a lot of the country. Our issue has been finding reasons for them to come to games.
  8. Fortunately, the coaching of that position group is a strength for this program.
  9. Agreed. I don’t think most casual fans are going to analyze the Tech score/game like most people on here. 3-1 sounds pretty good to the casual fan though.
  10. This should be the tagline when you call the ticket office
  11. Man, if I were them, I would want Texas State over UTSA in a heartbeat. Texas State and UNT would be my keys to Texas. I think TXST has way more going for it than UTSA.
  12. Looks like Memphis to the PAC is getting even more real.
  13. Meh, if you have to interfere with their hires, you hired the wrong HC.
  14. It's not like he's tried to distance himself from the hire. I don't get the implication that he doesn't own the hire.
  15. I keep seeing this pop up. Honestly, why do you guys assume he would want to come here? I wouldn’t if I was him. Our shot at him was when we hired Morris. I would expect him to land at a Big XII school next.
  16. I think people underestimate how ready Texas State is to step up when their name gets called.
  17. We just need consistency at this point. Name, logo, and dare I say color. I think we need to shelve any throwbacks for all but maybe Homecoming each year. We struggle enough with branding and identity that I think we should make anything that’s not the current branding EXTREMELY limited. Edit to add: Anything with “Texas State” in the name should not even be on the radar, in my opinion. Once SWT became Texas State, I think we should have left NTSU in the past.
  18. LOL you almost had me, but then you mentioned Kingsbury coming back 🤣🤣🤣
  19. I mean this as no knock to the skill level of anyone in the band, but more broadly. The Green Brigade is just kind of boring when it comes to football bands. When I see bands like Tech, Texas A&M, Texas, LSU, etc., it really stands out.
  20. I’m excited about the opportunity at Tech. Games like that are the springboard programs need to take the next step… Here we are. We will learn a ton about this football team at Tech. Let’s get this!
  21. I get the point you’re making, but I don’t think that’s right
  22. I think UNLV just scored another touchdown.
  23. I’m critical too. There were a lot of things tonight to be concerned about, but I expect the offense to be better than they were tonight. Quite frankly, this game was closer than it should have been because of mistakes that don’t really seem to fit with what a Morris offense typically looks like. All that said, I’ll take 2-0.
