  1. In all reality, it’s on both coaches and players. Coaches can run bad schemes, fail to recruit the right players, or fail to develop players… that’s on the coaches. BUT players can also be in good position to make a play, be taught well, and fail to execute. It’s on both.
  2. I see you’ve read their cop out of the week. At this point in the season, literally every team has had to navigate depth chart issues. The truth is, it doesn’t matter who the receivers are they don’t have a QB who can get them the ball. OU’s just not deep enough to compete with the top of the SEC this year.
  3. Just win. I don’t care what it looks like. 5-1 doesn’t happen around here very often. I’ll take it.
  4. Deion was never going to come to UNT
  5. I love the idea of playing Texas State. I know people here like to hate on them, but they just announced their second home sell out of the season. Wish we could say the same.
  6. Get a life, Man. He moved on, so did we.
  7. This!
  8. No offense to GH, but we are good on offense. If we have extra money laying around to pay someone, I’d add a consultant on the defensive side of the ball.
  9. Interesting he got fired by Ryan Walters who also coached here.
  10. Some of you will play whatever mental gymnastics you can to dismiss anything good happening on Bonnie Brae. They are coming off one of the most convincing wins we have seen around here in a really long time, they’re 4-1, and some of you can’t just sit back and be jazzed about that. I don’t get it.
  11. I’m sure there are stats to prove or disprove this, but I would suspect there’s way more exposure to school social media posts than what the DMN or Star Telegram put out anyway. Unless someone I know links to it, I don’t think I ever go to either source for any kind of news.
  12. I would love to see all those guys have a shot in the Eric Morris offense. It’s really not a fair comparison to just look at stats between the McCarney, Dickey, and even Littell offenses and try to compare them to the Morris offenses. This is such a different level.
  13. If I was head coach, my assistants would have had to talk me out of running the starters back out there.
  14. The more I think about these last two games, you have to give Morris/Caponi some credit. This is a different defense. Still lots of room to grow. They would tell you that, but this year would be an exact copy of last year if they hadn’t made the change. Also, Morris is a hell of an offensive coach!
  15. I’ve seen so many games where UNT hasn’t put away even the bad teams that I’m super encouraged by what this team has done tonight. The stats don’t matter. They start over every game and as long as we win the points stat, I don’t care if we lose every other stat category. This team has taken care of business tonight. That’s bad*ss!
  16. There are already states where head coaches are the highest paid employee in their state. Can you imagine when coaches/players are the top 10 highest paid state employees?
  17. Refs almost blew that one for Cam’s Canes.
  18. I don’t even know that the new MWC is an upgrade over the Belt.
  19. Just my humble opinion, and I know it’s not necessarily the popular one here, but I think the AAC should go ahead and invite Texas State. Get them before the MWC does.
  20. I would expect that a mighty Big 12 program would outdraw a lowly AAC team, right?
  21. They might sue, but most athletes are going to have a hard time proving schools actually made money off of them.
  22. For me, the question is simple. Does player X make my team better if he plays now? If yes, I’m not worried about redshirts. In the transfer portal era, even more so, redshirts have to be pretty unique situations.
  23. I feel like the AAC is in a good spot to be very intentional about who they go after. I could see some hybrid of schools from the SBC and the MWC making a lot of sense, at this point.
  24. You going to keep ignoring the 400+ yards passing that super physical SMU defense gave up?
  25. If you say so… TCU lost that game more than SMU won it.
