  1. Just give it a couple of years. I don't think there's any way the B10/SEC let the ACC remain a "power conference." As a matter of fact, I give it 1-2 years before the B10/SEC pluck the schools they want and the ACC ends up in the same boat as the P12. My prediction for the future The B10/SEC pluck the best of ACC schools The B10/SEC break off from the rest of FBS They create their own rules around paying players They create a similar structure to the NFL with conferences and divisions They end up with their own playoffs They crown their own national champion At that point, I think the rest of the conferences and the ACC leftovers (like SMU) go back to being more regional and playing in a separate playoff system.
  2. Stanford and Cal playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference... what could possibly go wrong?
  3. On a personal level I completely agree with you, but the reality is that’s just not that realistic for casual fans at most schools not ranked in the top 50.
  4. I’m going to assume they report tickets distributed just like we do instead of BIS
  5. Worth Noting- Attendance was 25k
  6. I mean, they played NC A&T on a Thursday night. I’m not sure the “big boys” would have drawn well for that one.
  7. Florida’s having a tough go at it tonight.
  8. I can tell you my employer blocks that website, and they don’t block very much.
  9. The Houston nod to the Oilers is a million times cooler than SMU’s attempt to claim Dallas though.
  10. No doubt. It’s easy to take for granted how well they thought out and planned our IPF. It’s first class.
  11. I think this is a big deal. Just a few short years ago pre-IPF they would’ve gone to Southlake High or somewhere like that.
  12. I get more of a Ted Lasso vibe
  13. Love this look! Always wear green at home. At least almost always
  14. Agreed. Even being referred to as a mid-level group of five opponent is a step up from where we have been in the past.
  15. Ridge Texada OR Andrew McNulty
  16. Important, yes. The biggest, no.
  17. I mean, can you actually do better than the auto-draft feature?
  18. I don’t know that this is true. The meetings may give them a peak behind the curtain at what the powers that be (B10/SEC) are thinking with respect to the B12 and PAC leftovers. That may help guide the ACC’s next steps.
  19. I’m so glad you took the time to explain to us little peons from Denton what life is like for the wealthy Park Cities brethren.
  20. You’re more confident about that than I would be. Big 12 expansion was a way better group of teams than the ACC is looking at.
  21. The reason they sell you a beer with the can already open is so that it empties and becomes lighter when thrown. A tumbler with a sealed lid definitely could hurt someone. Mob mentality is the problem, not an isolated incident. Have you ever seen a game where people get mad at a ref or umpire and throw stuff on the field or court? How would you ever eject individuals.
  22. I’m sure some of it has to do with staffing security, ushers, concessions, etc. It’s probably helpful for them to have an idea of how many students are going to be there. That said, I would still just swipe ids and make it as easy as possible.
  23. Agreed. Even if there’s a chance there won’t be enough seats, I would still just swipe ids and put a huge “countdown clock” to show everyone on the hill how many student seats are left and maybe it would encourage some students to go in early.
  24. I don’t know why students should even need to “claim a ticket” at all. I think students should be a swipe your student id at the entrance and walk in the building transaction.
  25. Coach Morris gets it. Between this and sitting to eat with fans before the coaches show, I think he’s showing he has a lot of potential to be special.
