What a refreshing take from a G5 coach. I appreciate that his attitude is to go do what it takes to be successful here with the current situation. It wasn't a "woe, is me," poor North Texas response like so many of these coaches have been giving. -

Mockingbird station is like half a mile from the stadium if you want to park at one of the stations and take the train in.

All of you who don’t like that players are “picking up their balls and going home” can’t say jack about firing coaches before their contracts are up. You’re not allowed to “take your ball and go home.” You made a commitment to that coach. Honor it.

They were the 9 seed and they were “let in” to the first round bye because of the conference champion rule that I can almost guarantee they will change after this year.

I think Title IX is going to be one of the biggest hurdles if they try to bring it in-house.

Except I think the Boise first round bye is going to be a one year experiment. The big boys are going to change it probably the day after the NC game. It’s going to be the Top 4 ranked teams starting next year.

I keep waiting for something like this to happen. Some G5 coach will just make a deal with a P2 like UT where they get the guys for 2 years that the P2 wants in 2 years. A true baseball-type farm system.

The NCAA is there to do what the schools want it to do. That’s exactly what it’s doing.

Agreed! I’m just glad it’s 2-loss and 3-loss teams arguing instead of undefeated teams, so it’s at least better in that regard.

This is exactly the point. The ACC isn't a power conference anymore. There's only 2 (SEC/Big 10).

What do you expect them to do? Until the Conference Championship games and CFP field is set, no one knows where it will all shake out. -
I’m not saying that at all. I’m saying the ACC and Big XII are still a long way from getting the respect the SEC and Big 10 get.

The committee hasn’t though. They’re all that matters. They’re loading the playoffs with SEC and Big 10/ND.The Big XII and ACC have been lowered a notch whether they want to believe it or not.

It definitely is when your head coach comes up through the offensive ranks. I would argue the opposite if the head coach came up from the defensive side.

Mike MacIntyre would be worth a phone call. HC experience and coordinated some really good defenses in the past. May just be one of those guys who was a good DC, but not a great HC.
