I hope there's a ticket special for Sat...a HUGE crowd should help the team. I'll be there either way - GMG

Game preview for 24/7 - GMG https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/Article/North-Texas-Mean-Green-Old-Dominion-Monarchs-meet-in-Virginia-128496221/ It will be interesting to see how fast North Texas tries to play and how quickly they shoot open 3-pointers. If they can push the pace and get ODU out of the half court that could get the Monarch’s size out of normal rebounding positions and open up opportunities for Jahmiah Simmons, Zach Simmons and Michael Miller.

Another prediction for the big game - at least they have a tighter game. GMG https://sportschatplace.com/picks/college-basketball/old-dominion-vs-north-texas-1-31-19-college-basketball-pick-odds-and-prediction The North Texas Mean Green have been one of the hotter teams in college basketball most people haven't been paying attention to, but they're just 7-11 ATS this season. The Old Dominion Monarchs are winning games despite shooting a poor percentage from the field, and they're outscoring teams by an average of 12.3 points at home this season thanks to allowing just 37 percent shooting. ODU has won each of the last eight meetings against North Texas and has been pretty solid at covering the number at home. If it's not broke, don't fix it. I'll lay the reasonable number with the Old Dominion Monarchs. Pick: Old Dominion -4.5

https://www.dailypress.com/sports/old-dominion/dp-spt-odu-north-texas-basketball-0131-story.html Jones also said North Texas is the fastest team ODU has faced, not in tempo or number of possessions, but in sheer speed.

The Mustangs return several of their best players on both sides of the ball, including Proche, Jones and Moore. SMU’s recruiting class also ranks No. 3 in the AAC. We won’t truly know what this season means until next year. Overall grade: C

Khairi Muhammad's in the Doghouse
Philip Ferguson replied to Green Crazy's topic in Mean Green Football
I call BS on this post from the Star Telegram...they are trying to tar-and-feather the entire program for the actions of one person...so unfair! -
Stadium broadcast the SMU game at the start of the season and did a great job IMO. I can't recall who did the ODU football game but it was very bad - GMG
-
On the flip side, the new OC may want his/her own WR coach. I agree with you, no biggie either way GMG

Just three seasons ago, UNT was coming off a 1-11 season with no optimism in sight."

Graham Harrell in talks with USC
Philip Ferguson replied to TheReal_jayD's topic in Mean Green Football
Channel 5 Sports just had a story about this (5:00pm news). Maybe they'll replay it tonight...they just repeat what we already know (that GH is talking with USC per reports). -
I friend of mine is the trainer for Frisco FD. He said he had KB in his class and thought the name sounded familiar. Feedback was he'd a great guy and will make a fantastic fireman. GMG
