  4. I'm in Abilene this week working and a lot of these guys out here are pretty pumped about the game and says they are going to Denton to watch it. The honest ACU fans are telling me we should be favored to win by 24+. GMG
  5. Exactly! I hope everyone stays 100% focused until AFTER the last game is played. December distractions tend to be problematic IMO.
  6. https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2019-08-18/college-football-2019-ncaa-power-five-coaching-jobs The DRC is nice, but I like the fact that UNT is mentioned more and more in national publications, too! GMG

  8. https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/3-group-of-five-sleepers-for-the-2020-nfl-draft?fbclid=IwAR19FOvsR78Q1CQ9xxWvcGWcdwT0e9PX_FgGCqOHSu6doP_O0PwvZGwIJwQ From the article - The more I watch North Texas quarterback Mason Fine’s tape, the more I get excited about his projection to the next level. Keep in mind, Fine is only 5’11, 200 pounds, so he will be off most draft boards strictly because of size thresholds. However, he has a lot of the quarterback-specific traits you look for in a next-level prospect. Fine has a live arm and can uncork throws from every different angle with accuracy and velocity. His ball placement is fairly consistent across the board, whether in or outside the pocket, at all levels of the field. Also, he is a much-improved decision maker, throwing 10 less interceptions in 2018 than he did in 2017. What I love most about Fine’s game is his toughness. He’s taken a beating the last three years as the Mean Green’s starting quarterback. Yet, he will stand in the pocket and deliver strikes with pressure right in his face. It often results in him taking big hits, but you have to respect his fearlessness and composure. Fine has improved each year at North Texas in all areas of the game, and I think he will be an intriguing Day 3 prospect that every quarterbacks coach will want to get their hands on.

  13. https://hookemheadlines.com/2019/08/13/texas-football-where-pff-ranked-sam-ehlinger-among-nations-top-qbs/ PFF had Houston Cougars senior quarterback D’Eriq King and North Texas Mean Green senior quarterback Mason Fine ranked ahead of Ehlinger in the last two spots in the top five.

"But as Cal's defense has improved, the offense has regressed. It’s gone from one of the best (ranked 10th in 2016) to one of the worst (115th last season)."

  17. They open 2 hours before kickoff, and I usually get there around that time to avoid the crowd. After about an hour, a head over to the stadium and watch the warm-ups. It's makes for a longer day but no stress or crowds this way, so that's an easy choice for me.
