For those saying they wanted Mason pulled out earlier...
Philip Ferguson replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Not related to timing, but I noticed he wasn't wearing that support device on his knee. I guess that's a good thing - GMG -
I thought the offense was going to move from the line much faster this season. I didn't notice much of a difference last night compared to the past few years. Did I miss something or is BR saving that for later? GMG

"This is an opportunity for us to show all of the hard work we've put in and some of the adjustments along with letting this fan base see what North Texas is all about this season."

From Bleacher Report - Abilene Christian at North Texas, 7:30 p.m. ET Abilene Christian is going nowhere fast, and North Texas should have one of the best scoring offenses in the country with Mason Fine (QB), Deandre Torrey (RB) and Rico Bussey Jr. (WR) all returning. The Mean Green could be awful on defense, though, so get ready for a lot of high-scoring games after this one. Prediction: North Texas 60, Abilene Christian 21

Sounds like a fun Week 1 for the boys in Dallas... SMU at Arkansas State, 7 p.m. ET This will be a tough debut for SMU's graduate transfer from Texas, Shane Buechele. The former Longhorns quarterback will need to lead his new offense on the road against what might be the best defense in the Sun Belt. Arkansas State held each of its final five opponents to 17 points or fewer and gets back most of its starters. It's SMU's dreadful defense that will be the story here, though. Prediction: Arkansas State 38, SMU 35 https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2850700-college-football-picks-week-1-predictions-for-every-game#slide7

What games will you be watching this week?

They can win, but I still want OU to work them over pretty good. -

UTSA should be able to hold their own in a respectable battle, but they’re going to need a lot more fine tuning before hanging with the Mean Green. First conference game is a loss for the birds. Jared - This matchup is always entertaining, but I’m not sure UTSA will be ready to pull the upset against the C-USA West favorite. I’m taking the Mean Green in a scrappy battle that will keep both teams on their toes until the final whistle.

https://sportschatplace.com/picks/college-football/north-texas-vs-abilene-christian-8-31-19-college-football-pick-odds-and-prediction North Texas should end up having one of its better seasons in recent memory with the returning talent and what its done the last two years with less. However, the Abilene Christian Wildcats have a lot of key pieces returning in their own right and could be very dangerous offensively. The is also a squad that hung with Baylor in last years season opener, trailing at halftime 20-38. The Abilene Christian Wildcats should be better with a year of experience and have the offensive ability to put a scare in the Mean Green. -

Unlike GH, I think BR won't let off the gas after halftime. So, with a strong lead after 3, MF should have the stats and the #2/#3 can close. GMG

I hear there's an unused stadium in the area, so that may be a good meet-up spot.
-
We've had watch parties at Killarney's in Allen last season - good turn-out for Mean Green Nation!
-
As far as I know, there aren't any restrictions on where you can drink. I've had season tickets for 4 years and never noticed any signage or announcements about that anywhere at the stadium. Most people with families feel the need to drink...
-
Opps...scratch that...I was thinking the General Admission section on the north end of the end zone. 212 is in the Family Zone, so you should be OK. IMO, 212/211 is better than 201/202 because you can see the boards better.
-
It's on the north end zone so just be aware of that for watching the game. I would suggest getting seats on the west side of the section so you'll get shade faster (it's in full sun so it can get hot). As an alternative, you may want to consider Sec 212. It has a better view, it's in the shade, and easy access to bathrooms for the little one. Good view of all the boards, too. I think the price is about the same either way. Good luck & GMG
