Official SMU Game Score Prediction Thread
Philip Ferguson replied to MeanGreenTexan's topic in Mean Green Football
As I recall from last season, this site has some accurate predictions for the game. I hope it's true this yea, because I like what they have to say about Saturday. Note MF's comments about the "NORTH - TEXAS" chant - we'll need to get that going during key times. GMG https://winnersandwhiners.com/games/ncaaf/9-7-2019/north-texas-vs-smu-prediction-4070/ -
Does anyone know if the bleachers at Ford have a setback? I'm just wondering if I need to bring my stadium seats or not. I'm in Sec 188 if that matters GMG

Great idea! There will be some revenue in parking and concessions, so that should get it back to at least a break-even. And, it's bottoms in the seats! GMG

That will make the Arkansas game look like Pop Warner

If MF can throw a deep ball around that curve, he should be admitted to the NFL HOF immediately!

I posted some of the latest predictions. It seems the "experts" are beginning to trend in favor of a Mean Green win! Can't wait for Saturday...

Yeah, I'm trying to get clarification for the tickets I bought there for the SMU game. The lady said I'd have to come back to get them but I'm hoping I can pick-up at Will-Call at Ford. its too far to drive to Denton otherwise. There's been no answer on the phone or email. Maybe I'll have to jump the fence on Saturday GMG

https://sharpside.com/college-football-betting-free-picks-week-2-2019/ The offense brings back all but one of the top six receivers and the offensive line should be improved, bringing in Virginia Tech grad transfer D’Andre Plantin to play left tackle. The defense is going to be an adventure for North Texas, as they lose a ton but are anchored in the back by a pair of senior safeties, and defensive end Ladarius Hamilton is a beast. Outside of that, it’s a bunch of fairly unknown commodities and it might be a struggle early in the season. Shane Buchele is an upgrade over Ben Hicks and SMU brings back a ton of talent, but this North Texas offense is as good as it gets in the Group of Five level and SMU is going to struggle to stop them. My prediction is a North Texas win over SMU, 41-35.

https://statsalt.com/games/ncaaf/9-7-2019/north-texas-vs-smu-prediction-842/ Man, am I bucking the betting trends in this game taking North Texas. Not only has the favorite covered every time in the last five games between these teams, but North Texas is 0-7 ATS in their last seven games and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games. Still, Fine will have a big game, but the Mean Green will come up with some big defensive stops and they will not turn the ball over. They may not get the W, but they will cover the short spread in what will be a high scoring and close game. Prediction: PICK: North Texas

https://247sports.com/college/smu/Article/North-Texas-offensive-players-to-watch-against-SMU-135138084/ "Last week against Abilene Christian, the Mean Green proved they are still a force to be reckoned with offensively, piling up 51 points and 575 yards of total offense, including 383 yards and four touchdowns through the air from Mason Fine. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the offensive weapons SMU will see in Week 2 when the Mustangs host North Texas."

I enjoyed watching this show on Stadium since they had a CUSA day once a week and had good coverage for UNT. I can't find it anymore - I'm guessing it was cancelled but checking to see if anyone else knows what happened. GMG

I bought mine there, too, on Saturday and the lady said I had to come back later this week to pick them up. I live 45 minutes away from Denton so the option to leave them at Will-Call at Ford would have been nice. I have no idea where I'm sitting but it's whatever $40 gets you in Dallas.

https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/ContentGallery/North-Texas-Mean-Green-football-depth-chart-against-SMU-135143544/ "I was pleased with our preparation over the past two weeks and our team handled distractions really well," head coach Seth Littrell said. "I like how hard we played [against Abilene Christian], we just didn't play smart for four quarters. We definitely understand the challenge of this week's game. SMU has a very good football team and we haven't won in Dallas since 1933, so if our seniors want to leave a great legacy that's something that needs to be important to them."

https://www.underdogdynasty.com/2019/9/2/20844173/first-reactions-to-week-2-matchups-ats-sports-gambling-betting-ucf-football 4. North Texas at SMU Spread - SMU -4 The Mustangs had a hard fought and impressive win Saturday night over Arkansas State. Texas transfer quarterback Shane Buechele played well in his first start for the Mustangs passing for 360 yards in the air. This is also a revenge spot for SMU as they were humiliated by North Texas last season in Dallas. Mason Fine threw for over 400 yards and three scores in the easy win a year ago. North Texas had an up and down win over Abilene Christian on Saturday night. The Mean Green scored 51 points and Mason Fine played well. The defense however gave up over 450 yards and 31 points to ACU. I’m high on SMU this year and think they get revenge with a comfortable win over North Texas in their home opener. I favor the Mustangs to win and cover
