I think our staff is picking the right guys for the right fits... They have only had a few practices with this team and could be waiting to identify points they want freshman at, along with what holes need to be plug ASAP with JUCOs.. While it is disappointing at the 3 compared to other colleges, you have to remember UNT is having to start all over.

Agreed, and these freshman will have a solid group to look up to In Morris, English... I'm honestly hopeful English, he can be a someone that is a pillar for our program with what him and the other JUCO defense guys are doing.

I agree a running QB is a headache, but a Dual-Threat or even an good passer/avg running QB is the biggest problem.. Honestly, D-Smith was a run first and 2nd and hope he throws it in the area code of the WR or whoever QB.. I'm not saying Harris is that, but Pearson has the ability to spin the ball and put it on a WR, but yet has the ability to pull it down and run for 5-10 yards or more if given the chance. Give me Pearson 9 times outta 10.. QBs are meant to be like a PG someone who passes it around for the big play but can pull it down and go if needed. Harris is a pull it down and then hopefully pass.. Not saying that Harris is like Vick or Tebow, but they were runners before passers

Jacksonville hadn't had a descent QB in years till Bortles.. If they wanna sell a coach, that was on 1 of the worst teams that's fine with me... We would be lying, this was mostly down to scheme vs location.. He picked location, and you can't blame the staff or anyone for Harris wanting to stay home.. Honestly, it maybe even better for us because of our Defense vs his running ability with him not being a great passer.

Agreed, the struggles we have faced and the kid being from Denton, he is mostly aware of the problems.. But honestly if we were in the discussion, that's one hell of the job by the staff.. It sucks but most of the guys we are losing are going to bigger/better programs.. But programs we should compete with in the future if everything works out good with the staff.

It also doesn't hurt that they are in the Pac-12

He is a runner then passer... Pearson is passer then runner... I would assume, in our scheme we want someone who can throw the ball to WRs... Harris is similar to D.Smith, a runner that tries to throw and hopefully his accuracy develops, but it's usually something that doesn't with QBs, look at Means... He keeps getting passed over.. Yes Harris would have been a great get, but we need a QB and not an ATH like what was said earlier

I know it sucks to lose some of these kids, but to at least be in the picture with how crappy we have been, and the kid being in Denton with him knowing it first hand is a good sign... This staff is out recuiting and getting us in the picture at least... If we can win some games, we could bring in some talent and keep it at home.

he has not said he is committed to UNT.. O'hara asked him and he said not yet... So he is still free to go to anyone I believe.. Or that's at least how I took it mean

Does we have any ideas of people outside of the program that we would like to see here??? Also, what do you think RV did his first day after UNT?

Agreed with it being new, but they do bring in alot of big name people as guest speakers and that for the class from what I have seen...

Now with this being done.. Say we dismiss someone or someone leaves the team like Kirby, the center... That opens up a scholarship for us... Now does that mean we could go and fill that slot with a 2016 scholarship or would it count towards 2017 at this point?

Honestly, I think it's great to bring a QB and either his top WR/RB or something with them.. That helps them learn and develop I believe better knowing they have someone they have played with before and trust. Also, bringing in someone with QB I believe, helps the QB with developing bc the player that comes in with the QB can correct and inform the QB of other little corrections, such as route adjustments, etc. Hopefully that makes sense.

Now say if we were to remove or dismiss someone like Means or someone else, that opens up a scholarship.. Can that be added to a class so we have more then 25 players? Or is the limit 25 per class then blue-shirts would be rolled into the following year?

his profile says he is 6'3.. to me he doesnt look like it, but he does have game.. agreed about the slot and the outside as well, to me the size doesn't stand out but he is a solid addition, do we know if this is a walk-on? blue shirt? yet Also, in his tape is he playing vs the AZ Juco that we got a bunch of guys from? and the JUCO that has the OT that we got as well, Haynes?
