What is your guess on how many games are actually shown on TV from Weds - Sat during the season? I watch games from the Ivy League, MWC, Sunbelt, AAC, C-USA, as well as from the big boys. There is a reason that these games are shown. People watch them. Initially, maybe there is a pause…but I will get tired of watching the same 30 teams…I want to see games across all spectrum.

If the G5 left, it might take time to get the TV revenue. I do think people will get tired of watching the same 30 teams on TV like it was in the 70’s and 80’s with only 2-3 channels showing games. the G5 would get a lot of demand quickly and people are used to being able to watch whatever game they want. Which may actually give the G5 leverage on a TV contract.

He was not the same player his freshman year. I think Rubin is the standard for a developing player. His Frosh year, he was a source to eat minutes for the starters. Good on defense. He was not part of the offense. Soph year became part of the rotation, even handled the ball some. Jr year became starter, handled the ball a good bit, rebounded…..Sr year, he became the man. Added scoring to his game. Complete development of a player that got him a shot at Michigan. we need a Rubin in every recruiting class

The problem with this, if Hodge is that good at recruiting over and over, in 2-2 years, he will be swooned away by $$$$ at a larger school.

Can I put my season tickets into the portal? Maybe SMU will offer more for me to come watch them play. if I hadn’t already paid, I may not have bought. I enjoy rooting for players as well as my team.

Defense was flying all over the place. No missed tackles. Not sure how that really equates. Offense showed signs. frosh QB threw 2 pick 6’s in the first half, and came back with 2 good TD drives in the 2nd half. Looked pretty good. Throws a good ball. The picks were on out patterns, and were both good plays by the secondary. Receivers won most of the jump balls which is good/bad depending on which side of the ball you are on….but they were covered well I liked the format Really only 2 Qb’s played I didn’t see any injuries I give it a solid B

You know, despite the injuries, we still had a pretty solid season. And if everybody came back, would be in line for a really strong 2024-25 season. I have not heard any of them already with an NIL deal. is Hodge chasing them away? I have only met him twice. He seems like a nice guy and players coach. there has to be a reason to this….and without NIL deals in place, what is the pull?

I wear green glasses, drink green kool-aid, and bleed green….dont get me wrong. I want a 20+ win season as much as anybody. But they keep getting earlier in hitting us up for tickets. I have my tickets, so I can now speculate, prognosticate, bitch/moan, and make insignificant wagers with fellow fans as to what we think we will have next season. I encourage everybody to buy your season tickets and join me.

Mods, feel free to move this, but it is football(parking) related the MGSF has decided to take away the assigned parking privilege we have been paying for all these years in the Black Lot. They are saying that too many people(~12 per game)are not parking in the right spots, the parking lot monitors are not doing their job. So to alleviate that problem, they are taking away assigned parking from us all. This is a making of their own actions. They take away paper parking passes and switch to digital. No way to see on the windshield. This is an issue they created. I bought into a program that promised assigned parking and am still paying for that. They reduce a benefit, but not the price. Assigned parking is a huge value to me. It is nice to know where you are going to park every time. this was not thought out well. if this is a problem for you, please call the MGSF office and let them know
