UNT is a great institution that has several nationally ranked programs. I am extremely happy with my time there and the opportunities it created. I can appreciate a school's academic accomplishments so thank you for highlighting some of UTSA's. I appreciate the well put together post. However, your fellow alumni aren't exactly being cordial so what else do you expect? I actually don't mind the chatter because this is everything that makes a rivalry. You say that like I haven't already. I've brought a couple of them to their first game. It's not about a free ticket, many just don't care about the program and didn't make that connection when they were in school. That's the point I was trying to make.

I think another directive needs to be investing school pride/spirit in the students. I work with quite a few UNT alum and there's a bunch that have never even been to a football game. If someone doesn't feel connected to the school when they're a student, it's hard to feel connected after they graduate.
