  1. He picked McNeese St over us?? Odd choice.
  2. I want to know how they are doing this, I've been to that crapy bowl they play in. The campus is a commuter one and yeah they won a bowl last year but nothing that would lead me to expect the success on the recruiting front they've had. How are they doing this and why aren't we?? I would pick going to UNT 10/10 times so they must have one hell of a selling pitch.
  3. Like the spirit but yeah you've been on the green stuff pretty hard ;p. But hey nothing is impossible.
  4. Im hoping you mean surprised by not wanting him? Makes little sense otherwise.
  5. Are those law so different? If we want to get to the science and evidence based speeding would be more deadly. You point out Colorado but what about the hand full of other states that legalize it every year. I don't partake personally but it's 2017. Stop looking at it as if they are doing cocaine, heroine, steroids, drinking and driving, I could go on. Even so, if kid shows remorse and has talent why not take him on for 4 months??? This isn't the boy scouts and we certainly have no right to be picky on talent. From the info I've read he may be immature but not a bad kid. It's pretty amazing how we are so quick to back our short comings in recruiting but when an opportunity comes about we shoot it down. Kids become available for a reason and we always have to weigh the pros and cons. To me the pros heavily out weigh the cons, especially if he's a walk-on.
  6. Come on man.. that maybe a noble stance but it's a naive one. I would put everything I own to say 75% of every team has at least occasional smoking of weed. It's not such an earth shattering thing to shun him especially if he has talent. If you take your stance you better not ever go over the speed limit because that's breaking the law. Let's be real.
  7. Tend to agree, we are investing money, but is it the right way? Our locker room is meh (could have been huge selling point). I'm at the point where we go find the best recruiter that's an assistant an give him a blank check and tell him to get us ball players. Contract bonus for each recruiting battle won that a rival team as offered. Throwing money into something blindly doesn't make things work all the time. We need to have a plan and make smart investments.
  8. I'll take him, his past is weed related not like it was heroine. If he wants to walk on I'm not saying no to talent unless it's a major character concerned (Baylor type)
  9. Unless you know something I don't, he hasn't committed anywhere
  10. Hopefully he is, but I think he is surprised Davis (his former teammate) is on offense.
  11. Huge get! I've been hard on the staff for lack of recruiting, but this is a big win!
  12. Go sign him Jerry!!
  13. Whoa! One of the biggest gets of the SL era if true!?
  14. probably announcing soon.
  15. I was at both the HOD bowl vs unlv and this one and I agree. That game was so fun! It was by far the best apmosphere I had experienced at a UNT game. The UNLV game was great but I felt like the Rice game was intense!
  16. We really missed a great chance here. The new locker room is just meh. Not bad by any means, but absolutely not a selling point. This could ( and should) have been one of our biggest eye catchers to high school recruits. The old schoolers that say it doesn't matter are way off. Football is not an I formation run the ball, no name on the back of the plain jerseys anymore. It's all about flash, from the on field product to facilities to uniforms. If you are flashy you don't stand out. Our history of on field product is not a selling point so our brand new facilities should have been one, and hopefully our unis will be.
  17. His top 5 are his 5 fbs offers, if we win out of these 5 I'd be happy
  18. No need to pay attention to this kid until signing day and see where he ends up.
  19. kid had a very good offer list.
  20. Lmao.. those are terrible!!!
  21. Sure seems like they took advantage of our camp
  22. I was about to say the same. For some reason littrell seems to be able to get his best players on campus via transfer and juco. Not sure if it's the lack of opportunities for those players or we are pitching UNT differently to them.
  23. Well, I'll put it this way. If we had 25 3* commits and sign I can say without question we would be better than only getting the 2-3 3* a year what we've been getting since I can remember.
