  1. Mosley needs to come out with a statement indicating UNT is reaffirming its commitment to the AAC.
  2. No Buggs, no.
  3. So happy for the team and happy to see the large student turnout getting rewarded with a great game. Hopefully it will drive more attendance. This team deserves some big crowds. Awesome win.
  4. I actually think Morris could flourish in this system. However, he is going to have to prove he can stay on the field and turn potential into results. He has had opportunity, but has not taken advantage. His numbers are fairly pedestrian since he has not been able to sustain long stretches. His accuracy is up where it needs to be and he has shown flashes of brilliance, but there is always a but.
  5. We don't exactly have the best track with P5 QB transfers named Morris. Let's hope this one fares a little better.
  6. Craponi appears committed to proving last year was no fluke.
  7. Looks like a very solid addition to the QB room. I hope we made the right decision by going with a QB xfer that will not be here until Fall. guess the upside is that the other QBs will get more reps this Spring.
  8. Not sure what people saw out of Earle that gives them any confidence he can be a contributor, much less a starter. He looked completely lost based on what I saw. If he does not somehow take giant steps forward I surely hope we have better options. The only defense he looked competent against was our own. Hopefully Morris learned from his complete whiff last season when it came to evaluating his QB talent going in to the season.
  9. Time to drop the charade of student athlete. Stop making these kids go to school while playing football. Let them focus on football and make their scholarship money available after they are done. At least this way they are free to choose whatever major they want instead of being forced to take generic classes so they can pass and not interfere with athletic commitments.
  10. But the schools do not run the collectives. The actions of the collectives are not covered by Title IX. At least not for now.
  11. Instead of hoarding more than 85 players it seems like it might be a better strategy to funnel any excess cash to to top players in an effort to keep them around. If you lose a few players to attrition or injury just go buy some more. Man, I hate where this is headed.
  12. The guys who make the rules, or own the guys that make the rules, are they same guys that make the large donations and have rigged the system/tax laws in their favor. These rules won't change. Follow the gold.
  13. Each signing class always brings renewed hope, but the only thing we really know is that we signed 40+ players. No idea how many can/will be productive. IMO, with so many gaps and needs on both sides of the ball we should have leaned more heavily on the number of portal signees. Too many HS signees for a team with so many immediate needs IMO. Morris will need to be surgical with 5-6 remaining spots. Getting 3-4 impactful transfers, including a QB, with those spots will be critical. Morris still needs to sign impact players at QB, OL, DL/DL/DL, LB.
