    Why would you kick off 3 sophomores that you expect to play a high number of snaps? If the team believes they can return (either this year or the next) it would be roster malpractice to remove them from the team.

    Sure, I agree with that. But let’s take UNT for example. If you’re not getting a whole lot more in the TV deal, can you afford it? Does the move get more donors to come out of hiding? There is a lot of considerations other than just the increase conference competition is all I’m saying.

    Travel cost is more about the access to a major airport rather than the distance itself. Plus, cost also factors all sports. Not just football. What does the vball team do? Fly to Portland then ride a bus for 1:30 hours to Corvallis? Is that sustainable? That’s the considerations the schools are weighing.

    I absolutely do not get the obsession with Tulane. Since the year 2000, they are 117-177 with 13 seasons of 4 or less wins.

    All 3 are still listed on the roster. Jasper Lott was on the depth chart yesterday and now removed from the roster list today. So id assume the 3 suspended are at least still available to come back.

    Nothing official since it was announced they are indefinitely suspended. My totally uninformed opinion is that the school/team is waiting for the legal process to play out before making any further decisions.

    There is a reason the MWC had the TV deal they had. And there is also a reason Oregon State and Wazzu was left in the dust. I don't see the Pac adding the schools they added + Memphis and Tulane getting a crazy package that will be too good to turn down.

    Has nothing to do with jealousy but it does have everything to do with pecking order. I don’t want a potential scenario where (for the sake of argument) we have a similar resume as Texas State but they get the nod for the playoff because their win over Arizona State is better than our win (again, hypotheticals) over Tech Tech.

    Bc MWC (well until 2026) is considered on par or better than the American. Sun Belt is a clear 3rd. And if an American school doesn’t make the playoff, I’d rather be a conference that is already considered at our level. In short, I don’t want the Sun Belt to get any shine.
