I'm new to these boards so I'm not privy to all the details, but seems like a lot of whining on both ends. Y'all are mad that UNT90 has an opposing (and in my un-biased opinion, valid) view? That's dumb. Why wouldn't you want the full details from an interview with the AD that seems to have many enemies? Yes, you'll probably never know what was said, but what is so wrong with wanting transparency from the face of your athletic department? And this negativity affecting recruiting? Come on. There is not a single recruit that says to themselves, "Well I can't decide between these 2 schools.. Let me check their message boards to measure their level of negativity."

I went from my original B grade to a B+. If news comes down today that Kincade is coming to UNT, I'd bump that to an A-. We need talent and if you could add players like English and Kincade in back-to-back days, you're doing something right.
-
Kincade just retweeted a few things. 2 tweets about needing him at UNT and the Bryce English tweet. Some really strange stuff going on
-
Just checked and Littrell is still following him. Now, Harrell is not and he has changed his account to UNT things. So who knows.
-
At one point in the offseason, he was beating out senior Jake Coker for the starting job at 'Bama. Nice get by Littrell and crew.

You're right. The less talented team has never won a game against the more talented team.

In college football, the best way to hide your weaknesses is to have a dual-threat QB that can make things happen. When A&M was good, they had Johnny. Texas had VY. Florida had Tebow. Auburn had Newton. There is just a randomness with those kinds of QBs that college defenses can't game plan for. 4th and 7 with the game on the line and the defense has great coverage: The QBs at UNT get sacked and the game is over. A QB with mobility makes a play from nothing and keeps the game alive. The best way to go from last to first is have one of those QBs.
-
That's exactly my thinking. I have a friend that goes to TCU and going into the 2014 year we were both saying we should go to a game but they'll probably be bad again, and wow! TCU took the college football world by storm. And other than changing the system, it was a change of mindset that turned it around and installing the electric Boykin at QB. You just never know until the season starts. If UNT comes out and beats SMU then smokes that FCS team, who's to say Coach Littrell doesn't get his signature win early against Florida while the guys are still riding that high of a new coach and new season?
-
It looks as if we'll get mainly the same schedule as last year, just swapping some non-conference foes. So based on this, here are my extremely watered down homer-ish expectations: Lock(ish) wins (5)- SMU (a decent QB beats them last year), UTSA, UTEP, Bethune-Cookman, Army (if you cant beat Army, go to FCS) Possible Wins (2)- Western Kentucky (losing Brandon Doughty), LA Tech (losing Jeff Driskel and Kenneth Dixon) Really Would Have To Dig Deep Wins (4)- Rice, Southern Miss, Marshall, Middle Tennessee Need Jesus Wins (1)- Florida So by my count, 5-7 would be a great year, 7-5 would be an amazing year, anything more than 7 wins would signal the apocalypse.

To be fair, kids are all different. I don't think the lineman care about looks as much as the skill position players do lol

Just looking for objective opinions

The kid has some hands. I like the way he attacks the ball, much like players such as Dez and Megatron. Needs a bit more size on him for the way he plays, but a college strength training program will do the trick. Looks like a really physical receiver. Hard to tell from the camera angle but looks a bit unpolished as a route runner. Has good speed, guessing 4.5-4.6? -
Looks like its not final just yet, but confirms our beliefs that we're wanting him for offense.

Just saw a tweet from an Alto student(?) that Johnson is de-committing from Tulsa and committing to UNT. Not sure about the validity but looking through past tweets suggests she's close with Alto.

ahh yes that's right. He can come too. Watching his tape looked Lance Dunbar-like. Maybe a little faster. Could be a great slot. -

I may be thinking about another player but I believe he had a tweet saying he hopes UNT offers today (this was a couple of days ago) -
If I wasn't so busy, I'd throw together some designs inspired by a few Oregon unis I like. I really would love to bring back the HOD bowl helmets. I'm a firm believer that the players seeing how awesome the unis were pushed them to an even elevated level on excitement. That carbon fiber finish with the metallic eagle was just beautiful

yea I'm actually the one that started that. I tweeted to him jokely that he should come coach with Littrell since Holley played at UNC. And he's just taken off from there! Seems like he seriously wants to try his hand at it and since we are UNT, what do we have to lose employing a former Cowboy, even if his stint was a brief one.
-
A name no one will really talk about is Jesse Holley. From what I have heard, he's interested in getting into coaching. Being a former NFL player and still relatively young, he would be a great guy to bring along while recruiting. Being relatable to the kids is 75% of the battle and he is definitely someone that can connect with them. I think he could be a great WR coach and bring some name value to the program. What do y'all think about that?
