I would do back flips if 10-20% of DFW based alumni cared. Would have no problem selling out if that was the case. The truth is closer to 5-10%. But you are spot on with the point that they just flat out don't care.. and only will mildly care if we have a consistent winner. Just like Mosley said on the NTE pod, it's easier to get people to buy in when they are students than trying to get them after they graduate. I feel like they have been doing a good job trying to cultivate that relationship.

One whiff of adversity and our casual fans disappear. It's really annoying that we cant get people to care unless things are going perfect. Which is funny because those same people have no problem tuning in week after week to watch the Cowboys not win anything for 25+ years. Keep that same mindset for your alma mater.

Think Texas State is next for MWC. Idk what the Pac is doing but they are running out of options unless they break the bank for Memphis Check that.. looks like Tarleton might be the choice.

I love this for UTEP. They have been down in the dumps for a while and that fanbase still sticks by them. Even joining a gutted MWC could be the jolt that program needs.

Stuff like this matters. Unless you have a clear upgrade out there, don't waste your time and others. Pernetti will remember this when it comes time to negotiate new media splits if/when Tulane/Memphis moves on.

Just a crazy thing to think about.. if Chandler is here for 2 years and stays healthy, he could end up 2nd or 3rd all time in yards in UNT history.

That loss weighs so much. The casual fan sees that and checks out. But the team is handling business and on pace to make Homecoming feel very important. Would love to be 6-1 heading into it but would take 5-2.

End of the second quarter had to have made Tulsa fans feel the way we did at the start of the 2nd vs Tech. Just an absolute avalanche.

Might be the most electric team I’ve seen in a while. It has to feel suffocating as an opponent when we’re on our A game.

I understand what it means. Our DFW market is considered valuable because of both the size of the market itself and the number or alumni that contribute to it. Very different situation than just NIU being semi close to Chicago. Also, if you think our attendance is bad, you should take a look at theirs. In 2017 they went 8-4 with their last home game drawing 8k. NIU is not a program AAC should pursue.

Its nice that we have at least one program on auto pilot. Never have to worry about our soccer team. They are a very young team this year and just continue to stack Ws.

Chicago does not give a damn about NIU. They have a good program but they struggle to draw fans because DeKalb is pretty out there. They beat Notre Dame then couldn't even crack 20k the next week at home

Watching Texas State fans on Twitter turn their noses up at MWC has been a sight. Guys, y'all have been somewhat relevant for about 1 year out of the last 40. Stay in your lane.
