Those 2 top classes are true/redshirt freshman. Hard to tell what those classes are going to be based on this season alone. They very well still could be the best class but we won’t know for another year or 2

Wren let Benford play out then hit a grand slam with McCasland. I expect the same with the Seth situation. I'm not judging Wren based on whether or not he fires a coach mid-season..

Let me clear some things up for the folks getting bent out of shape: I like Brett and this isn’t a shot at him. This is a shot at the weekly “well UNT lost but x team won!” articles/posts. I do not care that SMU and UTSA are undefeated. Just as SMU and UTSA probably didn’t care when we were undefeated. They just wanted their team to turn it around. As for the guy that thinks that Brett writing this will cause Wren to reassess the football program.. I’ll just say if an article is the catalyst for program change, we have much more to worry about than a change at HC.

I just want UNT to play good. I don’t care what SMU, UTSA, or any other team is doing. Not once do I think “man, I wonder how SMU did today?”

Maybe Brett should see if the Dallas Morning News or San Antonio Express is hiring. Because he loves talking about SMU and UTSA more than UNT fans care to listen.

I’m glad the stat sheet fans are gonna think Aune played decent but the game showed a very different story.

Yepp. I’ve noticed a few times when our WR has a step and we can’t get the ball to them. Are they easy throws? Of course not. But they’re throws a decent QB should be able to make.

I usually don’t like to say stuff like this Bc they’re just kids but since he’s technically a grown man… Aune is absolutely awful and I never wanna see him start another game.

Does our sideline seem a little light? I know we have injuries but feels pretty empty.

Last game I listened to on the radio I was in rockwall and got clear signal. As I got closer to the Denton side of Dallas, signal got worse. Made no sense

I really wanna understand what some people here see in Aune. I haven’t seen anything that would make me think “yep, this guy could be it”.

Side note: Did we lose our regular uniforms? Been running with throwbacks for a while now. We went from fun new unis every week to full time throwbacks.

He’s also missed some receivers that would get him to that “100+ yards”.. which that’s an astonishing low bar that I don’t know how to unpack.

Must not have seen the Port State game. As bad as last night was, multiply it be 2 and you MAYBE arrive at the level of incompetence that was shown that night. Last night was BAD. But losing to an FCS team by 60 was WORSE.
