    I think FAU could have an UCF-like rise. Having a campus on the beach is a huge recruiting advantage. Been to their athletics facilities and they were pretty average. Pump some money into that and they could really blow up.

    The program is infinitely better off than it was pre-Littrell. From a talent level to overall program interest. So if his legacy is he started the rise of UNT football, I wouldn’t call it a wasted time.

    Not everyone processes failure the same. I’m sure it’s starting to sit in that it’s going to be his last year and I’m sure that a tough feeling. I’m not going to pretend to know what he’s thinking/feeling but no coach is okay with failure.

    The beloved Chico was 2-3 after Dodge and 1-6 after McCarney. But the whole “lock the gate” bit and letting a grown man in tights lead the team on the field was cool I guess.

    I think Gary would be a solid plan if you don’t have a candidate that you feel excited about. He’s definitely at the end of his career and will be picky but if he’s down to be that stopgap for the American transition, I’d be interested.

    For the third time, the kids need to understand what will get called as unsportsmanlike. That said, the rules being setup so that a kid can’t do anything that would even be perceived as “taunting” your opponent is stupid.

    According to some on the board, I better not see a single player be excited about winning. Shut up, go to the locker room, and go home. Definitely don’t say anything to your opponent who you’ve been battling all game. That’s just some unbecoming behavior.

    I’ve already said the kids should know better by now that it’s going to be a penalty? But expecting these guys to never get excited, talk trash, etc during a sport where you hit each other for 48 minutes is an absolute absurd ideology.

    Emotion is part of the game. Perhaps another sport would be better for your pearl clutching.

    I get it. Kids should know better by now. I just hate the rule to begin with.

    NCAA is weak as hell for making this unsportsmanlike conduct rule so strict. Let the kids show some damn emotion every now and then. Flag for shaking your head at a guy lol

    That’s so dumb. It was their best uni in a longgg time. Now we have these glorified practice jerseys with no team name, player name, etc on them.

    Others have made this point, and for what it’s worth.. I don’t a think UNT will be the one to do it, but someone is eventually going to take that chance with Art.

    “Good” does not equal “would be the best UNT has”. That’s an extremely low bar.

    Bean is not good. Go look at how other games.. outside of Duke, he’s been about as good as he was here. And predictably, without Darden, TDs are way down.

    Hell, I believed Ruder was going to be lights out too. He had shown flashes at UNC but kept getting hit with injury after injury.
