    I’m not worried about the students showing up. They usually do unless it’s a monsoon (UTSA game) or we’re just tragically bad. It’s usually the wing having barely anyone is what makes the attendance look bad at times.

    Having Tobe do a concert on campus for students the night before a game to kind of hype up attendance wouldnt be a bad idea for the university to explore. Particularly for homecoming or really any big game. I’m sure you have to book him well in advance and be hard to forecast which game weekend would benefit the most.

    I think it’s a good idea to try to get more of the apathetic fans in the gates. If the game is good, then you get them exposed to a great atmosphere and maybe they come back. If the game is bad, well at least you captured some revenue you might not normally have lol

    Optimistic: 27-23 UNT Pessimistic: 38-14 SMU Realistic: 28-17 SMU Unfortunately, I see more ways for the game to go wrong than for it to go right. Hoping the game ends on the latter side!

    Aune picking up where he left off… missing wide open receivers.

    I think I like the feather pattern on the shoulder more than in the numbers but still better than wearing a practice jersey all season.

    Tier 4 seems fair. I feel like we have a solid tailgate scene for the inconsistency the team produces. The 2018 LaTech tailgate atmosphere was absolutely electric and I wish we were able to replicate that more.

    Still think Grant ends up with the job by week 4. The fact that there’s very little separating them other than Aune has been here longer says enough for me.

    The no names on the back wasn’t a “powers-that-be” thing. Team stuck with the throwback after some supply issues last year. New unis this year have names.

    I thought UNT did a good job standing behind the team. Outside of social media engagement and game write ups, what exactly do you expect them to do? As a previous post said, it’s more of an alumni thing than an university thing.

    They’ve been “closing in” on a sell out for a month. 30k tickets sold is impressive.

    That offense is so, so stacked. Just average QB play should be good enough to win 6 games… if we can get good QB play, might be a surprising year.

    You talk to an SMU alum and they don’t like to use the term “tailgating”. They’re “boulevarding”… and so, disqualified from tailgate rankings. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.
