There’s a middle ground here somewhere. I get that we SHOULD be able to fill it but we’re not. I think everyone agrees that something needs to be done but the increase from last year is definitely a positive sign.

I think you can be upset that they left and also understand why they did. They (Tylor more than Abou) had an opportunity to make some money for their family and potentially get more exposure for the next level. UAB/UNT basketball has a great deal of respect for each other. Makes our battles so enjoyable. I hope AK sticks around bc they make us and the conference better.

Game turned when we started taking the air out of the ball rather then continuing to do what worked. Offense was cooking with grease when they pushed at the right times.

Of our top 14 lineups, only 1 consists of Sissoko. He’s been very bad this season.

Was looking at some data for this game and found some interesting stats.. Robert Allen is statistically our most important player (ranking 1st in offense, 3rd on defense according to BPR). Buggs is 7th then there is a LARGE drop off to Stone/Sissoko. Best 5 man lineup? Edwards, Noland, Buggs, Jones, Allen. Worst? Edwards, Noland, Stone, Scott, Sissoko.

I think there’s enough NIT declines to give us a chance. And a healthy squad legitimately win it again.

If someone wants some homework, I’d like to see what the stats are behind the Aaron iso back down for 15 seconds of the shot clock. I can’t imagine it was successful more than 20% of the time.

CJ should be a lock starter next season. If Rubin and Aaron stay, I see 2 starting spots that need to be filled this offseason. I’d like to see a PF and C brought in so Aaron could play his natural position of SF. Jason and Dello off the bench. The framework is there but we’ll see.
