I believe I saw this was a temp rule by the NCAA only applying to outgoing seniors this season. Basically so they weren't tied up in court over the Pavia and all the following suits.

When the Pit is packed, really good environment. When its not... woof. The downfall of the Pit is not the amount of seats, it's its cavernous size. Although I think a new arena in the 6-7k seat mark is the sweet spot and would do wonders for game environment even when attendance is low.

Well yeah. That’s why I said it would have to be the perfect conditions and even then it’s a massive maybe. The reality is you’re right. But can never rule out an exception.

I think you could theoretically still find that guy but the situation has to be absolutely perfect. The player would have to have a Mason Fine/Seth Littrell relationship and probably grew up a Mean Green fan. But even then, a huge maybe.

Guess this is a good time to say online is not real life. I know us on this board are crazy psycho fans but the mean is much closer to “oh cool, playing a bowl game in Dallas? Yeah I’ll go.”

One free transfer after 2 years (this protects both the players and coaches since we see a lot of "encouraging" by coaching staffs these days) and an additional transfer if your head coach gets fired. I really think we're *right* there to a pretty good system but can sometimes feel hopeless for schools like ours when the pendulum swings are drastically as it did.

100%. IMO coaching changes should always open a window for players to move on if they wish.

Everyone has their own situations. Please don't give if you have needs elsewhere. BUT if you can and want to dip your toes in, $10/month is easy to stomach.

Our advantage is with our number of alumni. You don't have pledge a lot. But $10 here and there adds up. I don't blame you if you don't and will not give to NIL. Totally understand both sides of the argument. And I'm not saying your $10 would keep the next star QB around, but can it make the difference in keeping other players? Absolutely.

And that's why everyone below that line needs to stop fighting it and let them have their little members only club. They are going to get their way so go on the offensive and push them away while you still have the little power you have left. Create player contracts with buyout clauses. Create a system of promotion/relegation amongst yourselves. Regionalize your divisions to bring back what college football used to be and why people fell in love with it. If the SEC/Big10 wants to be NFL-lite, fine. Go away and let us have our fun.
