  1. So he can't play QB for his high school team....but you want him to play QB here?
  2. You can have many "off the field" roles like quality control and high school relations of you have the extra cash to pay them. They are technically not allowed to actively coach on the field.....but it's not highly enforced. It all depends on how much money you have in the assistant budget, or if you can get guys to volunteer.
  3. Each school is allowed 4 GA's, increased from 2 to 4 about five years ago.
  4. East Carolina: Head coach Ruffin McNeill has been dismissed. McNeill went 42-34 in six seasons, including 5-7 this year. In two years in the AAC, ECU went 13-12 overall and 8-8 in the league. Read more here.
  5. I think he meant Doug Meacham.....probably a joke.
  6. He runs the offense, he is over the two co-coordinators. They assist with the game plan. He was also the OC at Indiana and Arizona. I'm sure it's heavily influenced by Leach and Fedora, but it's HIS offense. He wasn't.
  7. He calls the plays, that is all that matters. You can label anybody you want OC, but who actually calls the plays, because that is what matters. He runs the offense, please stop.
  8. He calls the plays for them, give him whatever title you want, but he is the play caller.
  9. How I feel when Charlie Strong wants to hire the other TCU OC. How Meacham feels right now.... How I feel trying to figure out who everyone would like to be head coach. Live look in at Rick V as he tries to make his decision.
  10. Absolute gold! I can't decide which is my favorite!
  11. Football scoop disagrees. North Texas: The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting TCU OC Doug Meacham has accepted the North Texas job. We are told that is premature. We reported earlier Monday Meacham is still considering the job, and a UNT source said Monday afternoon no hire has been made. A whole of getting excited for nothing, so no one knows and everyone wants to say. Sounds about right.
  12. North Texas: TCU co-offensive coordinator / inside receivers coach Doug Meacham will be named head coach at North Texas, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. More coming on CoachingSearch.com.
  13. Latrell has to coach the conference championship game still. Meachum is Maryland's top target.
  14. Football isn't football any more. It's for soft people, that's what happened. He made a great block, that should be how the game is played.
  15. I don't understand bringing up names of coaches who are having success at FBS schools. They are already head coaches and winning, they aren't going to leave and risk a losing season or two which would hurt their chances at a P5 job. Money is not the answer to every question. Please stop. Rhule, Fritz or any other head coach having success at the FBS level is not coming here.
